By the time he received his degree in jurisprudence in 1976, he had already started moving up the career ladder.
Work and career
Alexander Zvyagintsev devoted 17 years to the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, having worked there until 1987. Starting with the duties of a secretary, he rose to the position of head of the statistics department, became a senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1986, he served as deputy head of the department for propaganda and systematization of Soviet legislation. Then, until 1992, he held positions in the organizational and control department.
During these years, when the country was undergoing rapid and rapid changes, he headed the center of information and public relations of the USSR Prosecutor's Office. Later he became a senior assistant to the Prosecutor General of the USSR. From 2000 to 2003, he held leading positions in the prosecutor's office of the Volga Federal District. Since 2003, he took up the post of Deputy Prosecutor General of not the USSR, but of a new country - the Russian Federation.
The achievements of this period cannot be underestimated. Zvyagintsev achieved the revision and cancellation of a number of articles in the legislation of Bashkiria and Tatarstan, having achieved their compliance with the Constitution of the federal law of the Russian Federation. He dealt with issues of extradition to the homeland of Zakayev, Berezovsky, Nevzlin. In 2007, under his leadership, an investigation was conducted into the murder of Alexander Litvinenko in London.
During the period of rampant crime and the formation of large capital, he was engaged in the supervision of the rule of law in the field of civil courts. During his work in the prosecutor's office, Alexander G. Zvyagintsev became interested in literary work. He began writing back in the 80s, and the first published work was the story "Clan". Already in the mid-eighties, when such things were not mentioned anywhere, he spoke with documentary accuracy about the laws of the criminal world.
Then, in 1994, he published his work on the top officials of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Empire, the USSR and his successor, the Russian Federation. The series includes 6 books dedicated to different periods of Russian history and jurisdiction. Around the same time, he wrote his probably the most widely known and popular series "Sarmat". A series was later filmed based on these books.
Another series of detective and political action films - "Skif". Then came the books "Swiss Roller Coaster", "Russian Prosecutors", a series of detective stories about Valentin Lednikov, "Natural Selection" in Russian and French, a film was made according to the script "The Nuremberg Trials". Some of the books were published by the author under the pseudonym Alexander Holgin. By 2018, the author has written and published about 40 books in the genre of documentary, detective and thrillers.
Awards and prizes
During his work in the prosecutor's office, Alexander Grigorievich Zvyagintsev was many times awarded by the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.
