Vladimir Chitaia is a Russian footballer playing as a striker. For most of his sports career, he played for the clubs of the second divisions of different countries. For dexterous maneuvers with the ball he was nicknamed "Georgian Maradona".
Childhood and adolescence
Vladimir Nodarievich Chitaya was born on June 19, 1979 in the city of Khobi, in the north-west of Georgia. He spent his childhood years there. At school he was engaged in various sports. However, football has always been a priority. When Reading was in the second grade, his parents took him and his younger brother David to the section at the school. The coach immediately noticed Vladimir's love for the ball and began to pay more attention to it. He soon recommended that his parents place him at a local sports school, where there were more opportunities to develop his football talent.
In one of his interviews, Chitaya recalled that after school he always came to the field to hone his skills. He had to move more and because of the excess weight, for which the coaches and doctors of the sports school always scolded him.
After school, Vladimir entered the Tbilisi State University (TSU). He had to move from his native Khobi to the Georgian capital.
Career
In the same year, Chitai was invited to a screening at the University club, which later changed its name to TSU. The club represented the university of the same name and at that time played in the major league of Georgia. I spent just a year reading as a member of the club of my native university.
Despite the so-called "hard physical data", Vladimir possessed high technical skills and was a passable dribbling master. Thanks to these qualities, he immediately stood out on the field. Reading quickly came to the attention of football breeders, who began to offer him lucrative contracts. Already in the next season, he began to represent the double of Tbilisi Lokomotiv. This is one of the famous clubs in Georgia. However, in its composition, Vladimir stayed only for one season.
In 1999, Chitaya returned to Khobi, where he was offered a place in the main team of Kolkheti. At that time, the club played in the top division of Georgia, occupying an average position in the final table of the championship. In it, Chitaya spent two seasons. In 2001, Kolkheti took the last place in the championship and flew into the first league with a bang.
In the same year, Vladimir received an offer from the Polish club "Discobolia". The footballer did not hesitate for a long time and went to the city of Grodzisk Wielkopolski. However, as part of the Polish club, Chitaia did not show outstanding results. Soon the contract was terminated, and Vladimir went to Russia in the same year.
In the period from 2001 to 2003, Chitaya was in a so-called limbo: he did not stay in any club for a long time. So, in two years he changed several Russian clubs, including:
- Spartak-Orekhovo;
- Neftekhimik;
- "Knight";
- Korenevo.
Chitai achieved his greatest success at the first club, which at that time was playing in the second division. In his composition, Vladimir played 23 matches and chalked up five goals. Thanks to this, in the next season, he defended the colors of Nizhnekamsk "Neftekhimik", which is a higher rank. However, Reading's game could hardly be called bright: he entered the field in only eight matches and did not score a single goal. This was followed by a lease in the Moscow region - "Vityaz". However, in Podolsk, he showed a dull game.
After the failure at Vityaz, Chitaya thought to end his sports career. However, the love of football took its toll, and Vladimir decided to move to the Amateur League. In an interview, he noted that then it was not so important for him where to play, the most important thing was to play football.
So in 2003, Chitaya got into the Korenevo club near Moscow. Speaking for him, Vladimir liked the breeders of the Tekstilshchiki club from Ivanovo. In the same year, he began playing for him on loan. At first, Reading did not stand out much for his game. In 10 matches, he hit the opponents' goal only once. However, the management of the Ivanovo club decided to buy him out and make him a player in the first team. Chitaya himself later recalled that this decision was unexpected for him and it literally inspired him, gave him confidence. After that, Vladimir really began to show good results on the field.
Soon Tekstilshchiki got a ticket to the first division. Vladimir's contribution is undoubtedly also in this. According to fan polls, Reading was named the club's best footballer in the 2007/2008 season. He spent three seasons at Tekstilshchiki.
At the end of the season, Chitaya moved from Ivanovo to Reutov near Moscow, where he began to play for the local club of the same name. However, at the end of 2008, Reutov lost his professional status, and Vladimir was seriously injured. The restoration took about two years. He returned to the field only in 2010 as part of the Olimp-SCOPA club, which played in the amateur league of the Moscow region. Despite the injury, Chitaya began to show a good game on the field.
Since 2010, the footballer has changed several amateur clubs, including:
- "CDN";
- "Russia";
- "Joker";
- "FKSP".
Sports experts agreed that in the amateur league Vladimir really opened up. He consistently found the strength to complete the attacking actions, aiming at the gates of opponents.
Currently, Vladimir continues to enter the field, but already in the amateur league of veterans.
Personal life
About his personal life, Vladimir Chitaya does not spread much. It is known that he has been married to a Georgian woman for a long time. He lives in Moscow with his wife and two children.
