Miraculous icons of the Mother of God
The celebration of the Tolga Icon of the Mother of God falls on the day of its miraculous acquisition - August 21.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is considered the patroness of Russia. It is her icons that stream myrrh more often than others and perform miracles. In the Vvedensky Cathedral of the Yaroslavl Tolgsky nunnery there is a miraculous image of the Mother of God of Tolgskoy. This icon is considered the patroness of Yaroslavl.
One of the main shrines of the Russian Orthodox Church - the Kazan Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos - was lost. However, there are several miraculous copies of this icon. One of them is located in Mordovia, in the city of Temnikov. There is the Nativity of the Theotokos Sanaksar Monastery.
Another revered copy of the Kazan Mother of God is in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg. There you can also bow down to another revered miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary, called the "Nevskaya Quick to Hearken".
In the Sorrowful Church of the city of Ryazan there is a miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow". In the church of the village of Zamarovo, Ryazan region, you can worship the miraculous icon of the Mother of God Bogolyubskaya Zamarovskaya. It is considered one of the first copies of the famous Bogolyuka icon, which stood at the gates of the ancient city of the Ryazan region - Pronsk.
Other miraculous icons of Russia
Due to the fact that in the 15th century it was customary to cover icons with sunflower oil, the image of the Almighty darkened. It is noticed that women who have cheated on their husbands at least once cannot see the image of Christ on the icon.
In the Resurrection Cathedral of the city of Tutaev, there is one of the most amazing relics of the Russian Orthodox Church - the miraculous image of the Savior. According to legend, this icon was painted in the 15th century by the Monk Dionysius Glushitsky for the Church of Boris and Gleb. At first, it was located in the dome of the church, then it was moved to the chapel of Boris and Gleb, and in the 18th century the Savior was placed in the main building of the church.
In the Vladychny Monastery in the city of Serpukhov, a modern copy of the long-lost miraculous icon of St. George the Victorious is honored. Beginning in 2000, the monastery list began to stream myrrh.
In the Holy Intercession Avraamievo-Gorodetsky Monastery, located in the small village of Nozhkino, Kostroma Region, there is a wonderworking carved icon of one of the favorite Christian saints - Nicholas the Pleasant.
Every day, thousands of pilgrims come to the Diveyevo monastery of the Novgorod region to bow to the miraculous icon of one of the most revered Russian saints - Seraphim of Sarov. His image was painted by the nuns of the Diveyevo Monastery in 1916. Miraculously survived after the revolution, in 1992 the icon took pride of place in the revived monastery.
