Criminal authority Ruzlyaev, nicknamed "Dima Bolshoi", kept Togliatti at bay for a long time. His people were engaged in robberies, contract killings, extortion. Without dividing the spheres of influence with other gangs, Ruzlyaev's group got involved in a struggle for influence. The impudent leader of the Ruzlyaevskys did not compromise, for which he paid with his life: he was shot in his own car.
Dmitry Alexandrovich Ruzlyaev: facts from the biography
The future leader of a criminal group was born in Stavropol on November 5, 1963. Dmitry grew up in a dysfunctional family. His mother worked as a cleaner, and his father, as journalist Alexei Sidorov established, drank heavily.
The family environment contributed to the development of an asocial personality. Education interested the guy in the last place. Having matured, Ruzlyaev became a strong, physically strong, brave and completely fearless young man. He was not in the least afraid of blood and was prone to criminal behavior. A resourceful mind, the ability to think strategically and a love of money subsequently allowed Ruzlyaev to advance to the first positions in the criminal environment.
The dark career of a crime boss
By the end of the 1980s, Ruzlyaev was making a living in Togliatti, becoming a driver for one of the businessmen. Its owner managed to organize the work of "thimblers", from whom he received a decent income. Ruzlyaev also dreamed of a well-fed life and sought to join the criminal business. But the friendship with the owner did not last long. When the police became interested in the "businessman", Ruzlyaev went over to the side of the more authoritative criminal leader Alexander Maslov.
In those years, Maslov was the recognized leader of one of the most powerful groups in Togliatti - "Volgovskaya". Ruzlyaev managed to gain full confidence in the leader of the criminal community. He soon became a full member of the group.
The Volgovskys subjugated all the main commercial structures of the city. But after a couple of years, they had strong competitors. It was difficult for two gangs to live on the same territory. In November 1992 Maslov was killed. His place was taken by Ruzlyaev. And the "Volgovskaya" grouping itself became known as "Ruzlyaevskaya".
The end of "Dima the Bolshoi"
The renewed gang began to pay the main attention to the automobile plant. The strategically thinking Ruzlyaev preferred to come to an agreement with his competitors, concluding an alliance on mutually beneficial terms.
In 1994, "Dima Bolshoi" became a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. His party card helped him get the support of government officials and law enforcement officials. He began to remove rivals from his path, hiding behind his connections and authority. This continued until 1997: in February Ruzlyaev was arrested on suspicion of organizing a contract murder. The police officers found a pistol in the pocket of Ruzlyaev's jacket.
At the trial, it turned out that Ruzlyaev had not previously been convicted, had a family and a place of work. As a result, he was sentenced to two years' suspended imprisonment.
At the same time, the struggle for influence between various groups in the city intensified. Many of Ruzlyaev's accomplices were killed. The rivals themselves made an offer to quietly go into the shadows. But fearless to the point of recklessness, Ruzlyaev did not back down and refused.
The punishment for stubbornness was death. On April 24, 1998, Ruzlyaev was shot dead in Togliatti while in his car. Dima Bolshoy, famous in the whole district, was buried in the Banykino cemetery in the city of Togliatti.
