Biography

Alexandra Yakovleva (Ivanes-Aasmäe) was born in Kaliningrad in 1957. As a child, she studied dancing and playing the violin, and after school she decided to become an actress, leaving to get an education in St. Petersburg. It was then that Alexandra decided to take the euphonious creative pseudonym of Yakovlev. Immediately after graduation, in 1979, the girl received an offer to star in the disaster film "The Crew", which became one of the best in the history of national cinema. So the very first role made the aspiring actress famous and in demand.

The next in the career of Alexandra Yakovleva were the roles in the films "The Second Birth" and "The Walruses Are Swimming." They did not become big hits, but secured the status of a young and talented actress for Yakovleva. Then she starred in the serial film "Young Russia" about the life of Peter the Great, as well as the drama "Space for Maneuver". Alexandra excelled at the tragic images, and in 1982 the famous director Georgy Danelia invited her to shoot in his film "Tears were Falling". Yakovleva coped with the assigned task brilliantly.

One of the most famous films with Alexandra Yakovleva was "The Sorcerers" based on the fantastic scenario of the Strugatsky brothers. In her student years, Alexandra Yakovleva met her first husband, fellow student Valery Kukhareshin, who later became a talented actor. They had children Elizabeth and Kondraty. The marriage lasted five years. After that, the beautiful actress was courted by many prominent men, among whom, according to rumors, journalist Alexander Nevzorov.

In 1984, Alexandra Yakovleva met a new love - the Estonian athlete Kalju Aasmäe. They got married, and the actress even took her husband's surname. The couple lives happily ever since. Children in this marriage never appeared, but soon Alexandra became a grandmother, and is currently raising grandchildren Timofey and Artyom, as well as granddaughters Anastasia and Yana.
