Today it has already become a common place the maxim that children do not want and do not like to read. There are many explanations for this phenomenon. The most common argument is the dominance of television and the Internet. Yes, there is such a reason. At the same time, adults have many ways and techniques at their disposal to instill in a child a love for the book. The children's writer and playwright Andrei Usachev is absolutely sure of this.
Poetic childhood
In literature, as in any other field of activity, there are luminaries and imitators. In commercial terms, the competition for the reader is always fierce and uncompromising. Children's literature is no exception. Andrei Usachev was born on July 5, 1958 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in Moscow. Mother taught history at school, father worked as an installer at a construction site. The child grew up and was brought up in a healthy environment. He learned to read early and loved to sing pioneer songs that were broadcast on the radio.
When the time came, Andrei went to school with great desire. In his biography, he never forgets to note that he took an active part in amateur performances. When classmates created a vocal and instrumental ensemble, Usachev chose percussion instruments for himself. He wrote lyrics especially for the ensemble. Over time, timid attempts at creativity have transformed into persistent habits and creativity. The boy knew perfectly well how his peers live, what they dream about and what plans they are making for the future.
Having received a certificate of maturity, the future famous children's writer easily entered the capital's Institute of Electronic Technology. Moreover, after studying four courses, Andrei finally realized that he had absolutely no love for electronics. He dropped out of the institute and went to serve in the army. During the drill training, I finally understood what he wanted to do in life. After demobilization, already consciously, he transferred to the Tver State University at the philological department and received a liberal education.
Literary works
Formally, the career of a children's writer for Andrei Usachev began in 1985. His first poetic works appeared on the pages of the children's magazine "Murzilka". It is important to note that at that time all genres of children's literature were completely filled. Recognized authors had to wait for years for the turn in the printing house to come and the book will be published. It was easier to print a selection of poems in a newspaper or magazine. Usachev did just that. Flowers, fish, ladybugs and even candy became characters in his works.
In 1990, young readers were presented with the first book "If you throw a stone up". Andrey Usachev was admitted to the Writers' Union. Cartoons are filmed based on the writer's works. Radio shows are being created. Discerning critics point out that the children's writer is good at writing with an educational bias. Among such books are "The ABC of Good Behavior", "Traffic Rules", "Drawing Lessons".
Andrey works a lot in radio and television. His programs have always enjoyed great attention. The personal life of the writer took shape once and for all. Husband and wife have lived together for almost thirty years. Over the past period, the couple raised and raised two children - a son and a daughter.
