In the "odnushka", where the midfielder spent his childhood, besides him, five more people lived. Yuri has a secondary technical education, specializing in electrician. In the winter of 2008, the midfielder graduated.

Career

In 1994, the midfielder got into the local Tambov sports school. In 2000, Yuri was spotted at Spartak Tambov, where he spent the season in a double. Due to a lack of funds, the midfielder had to play along for the village team. In 2001, the midfielder was announced for the "base" of the Tambov "Spartak". First, the midfielder came to Moscow for the screening, to Spartak, but did not fit the team, at that time the Muscovites were coached by Oleg Romantsev. It got to the point that Zhirkov went to see a show in Kiev, to the local Arsenal, but even there they did not sign a contract with him. In December 2003, the midfielder achieved his goal and signed a full-fledged contract with CSKA Moscow.

In the official match for CSKA, Zhirkov made his debut against Spartak in the Super Cup game. In total, the midfielder played 139 matches in the CSKA camp, won many titles, but the main one was the victory in the UEFA Cup against the Portuguese Sporting. In this match, Yuri scored a goal kick. During his stay in the camp of the army, Zhirkov became one of the leaders of the team, as well as the captain.

After the triumphant Euro 2008 in the camp of the national team, Yuri was noticed in the top clubs in Europe, and after another season in the camp of CSKA, the midfielder moved to London Chelsea. The midfielder failed to gain a foothold in the camp of the “aristocrats”, having played a total of 29 matches, Zhirkov returned home, namely to Anji, which was scattering money at that time.

The epic in Makhachkala did not last long, and after several seasons Anji began selling players. Yuri returned to Moscow, to Dynamo. In Dynamo, after several seasons, problems began with the financial fair play, and the same total sale of players. Among these players was Yuri Zhirkov, who moved to Zenit, where he is currently playing. Yuri Zhirkov was remembered for his inappropriate behavior on the field, the midfielder had both removal and clashes with the referees and fights in matches.

Personal life

The midfielder has a rather large family: a wife and three children. After school, his wife Inna did not work anywhere and was remembered by everyone at the Miss Russia 2012 contest, when she fell into depression after a devastating interview in which journalists doubted her intelligence and erudition, and renounced the title. In Yuri's life, quite dangerous situations also happened - Zhirkov got into an accident several times, but, fortunately, was not injured in the incidents.
