On August 20, 1983, the future football star Yuri Zhirkov was born in the Russian city of Tambov. His father Valentin was an employee of the Revtrud plant, and his mother worked as a postman. Yuri was not the only child in the family. He had a sister and two brothers. They all lived in a small apartment with one room. Therefore, in the early years, Yura played football until late every day, so as not to be crowded in a small room. Often the family did not even have enough money for food. All these difficulties and inconveniences tempered the character of the future football star.

Sports achivments

In 1984, Yuri entered the sports club at the Revtrud plant, where he showed good results. The boy's first achievement can be considered the recognition of the best midfielder. It happened at a football tournament in the city of Kamyshin.

After leaving school, the guy entered the school, where he learned to be an electrical technician. He had no special plans for a football career, but he did not quit playing football.

At one time Zhirkov played for Spartak Tambov, receiving a salary for this. Since 2001, the football player's career has gone up. Among his team, he received the title of the best scorer.

In 2003, Yuri tried to get into eminent football clubs. However, this was not done at first. Only 2 months later, he became a player at CSKA Moscow. Zhirkov was in the reserve team, but thanks to work on himself, he got into the main one. In the six seasons he played at this club, he has transformed from a rookie to a true professional.

In the main CSKA squad, Yuri managed to become the champion of the country twice and several times to receive the Cup and Super Cup of Russia. One of his main successes is winning the 2005 UEFA Cup. Three years later, Zhirkov with CSKA won the bronze medal of the European Championship.

After such significant events, Yuri moved to the London Chelsea team. During its two years there, the team received several iconic awards. But the contribution of the Russian footballer could hardly be called decisive.

In 2011 Zhirkov left Chelsea and moved to Anji. He showed a good game, reminding himself of his former self. That is why he was awarded a bronze place in the national championship and became a finalist of the Russian Cup.

In the fall of 2013, the footballer began playing for Dynamo Moscow, and three years later he switched to Zenit.

Personal life

In the winter of 2008, Zhirkov got married. The chosen one of the football player was a person named Inna, according to whom she had never worked in her life. But she distinguished herself at the competition "Mrs. Russia", where she won. But due to an incident in an interview, where she could not give answers to several easy questions, the girl refused the title.

A year later, Inna took part in a show called "The Island". As part of this project, she needed to get her own food and water on her own.

In 2008, Zhirkov's wife gave birth to his first child. Now the couple already have three children - two boys and a girl named Milana.

Despite all life's difficulties and rumors, Yuri is doing what he loves, which he is very good at. And he devotes all his free time from work to his wife and children.
