Any religion performs 2 main functions - practical and theoretical. The theoretical part of religion explains to people the origin of the world and the principles of its existence. She offers people her idea of the world and its structure, the forces that exist in it, and an explanation of the cause of everything on earth. Even now modern science cannot offer a holistic and all explanatory theory of the world - and in the early historical periods, religious worldviews were the only explanation for the world that frightens people. Various churches and religions have given and continue to give their parishioners a clear understanding of the world around them and their place in it in a simple form. From the theoretical function of religion follows the practical, which is needed for the spiritual and psychological balance of the individual - believers live according to a certain set of rules and laws established from above … Being in such a position, such people do not need to independently solve complex moral and ethical problems that constantly arise in life - after all, a ready-made solution that does not tolerate any "buts" already exists in religion from the very beginning. Religion brings its adherents a whole range of positive psychological emotions: they feel themselves protected and confident in the future - even in the future after death; their life is a meaningful phenomenon, where all events have certain meanings and interpretations; believers can constantly communicate with a higher power - God, absolutely believing in his reality; such people, subject to certain clear rules of religion, can feel absolutely right, spiritual and infallible in any situation; the presence of a religious worldview gives believers certain and clear goals in life; deeply religious people always have someone to turn to, ask for help or advice - and they believe that higher powers hear him - that is, a believer in essence can never be alone
