Paquin Anna is a Canadian-born New Zealand actress born on July 24, 1982, who won an Oscar at age 11 for her debut supporting role. She is better known to the Russian audience for her work in the X-Men franchise.
Childhood and Oscar
The future famous actress was born into a family of teachers living in the small Canadian town of Winnipeg. Mom taught English, and dad coached school athletes. Anna became the third, youngest child in a close-knit family, and soon the Paquins moved to their mother's homeland, New Zealand.
Thanks to her parents, Anna from an early age was enthusiastically engaged in creativity and sports. Gymnastics, ballet, dancing, playing three instruments, skiing and learning French are just a few of the activities to which the gifted baby gave all her free time. True, among them there was no dream of becoming an actress.
In 1993, hearing about the casting for the role of a little girl in the melodrama of a woman directed by Jane Campion, Anna's older sister Katya immediately decided to take part in it. Anna went with her out of pure curiosity - and suddenly became the main contender for the role.

Education and career

Anna met her future husband Stephen Moyer in 2008, on the set of the vampire series True Blood. A partner in the film became a partner in life, and this bright acting tandem continues to delight its fans today. In 2012, the couple became the parents of two adorable heterosexual twins, and Stephen has two children from his first marriage. Anna lives with her family in Los Angeles.
