Biography
Chingiz Abdullayev was born on April 7, 1959 in Baku. Chingiz's father was a participant in World War II, served in counterintelligence, and later worked as a prosecutor and chairman of the Bar Association. Mother worked as the rector of the university. His parents had a great influence on his fate, instilling in him the concept of honor, heroism and love for the Motherland from childhood. Therefore, after graduating from school, Chingiz decided to take a crucial step in his life - to continue his father's work. So in 1976 he entered the Azerbaijan State University at the Faculty of Law.
At the university, he immersed himself in legal science, studied in depth foreign languages (Italian, English, Turkish and Farsi). But even this was not enough for him. Then he took up boxing and the development of various types of shooting. All this together helped him become the editor of the newspaper and the president of the sports club of the faculty. In addition, he won prizes at the competitions of lawyers of the USSR. In 1981, Chingiz graduated with honors.
An active life position and the ability to control the situation did not go unnoticed. Chingiz was offered to undergo training at the KGB courses. And in 1983 he was included in a special group for the release of Angolan commanders from captivity. After successfully completing the first assignment, he was involved in other special missions. For courage and excellent work, Chingiz Abdullaev resigned with awards. In civilian life, he received a second degree in psychology. He defended his candidate and then doctoral dissertation in legal sciences.
Career as a writer
Chingiz Abdullaev wrote his first book, entitled "Blue Angels", when he was a member of special groups. For the reliability of events and the disclosure of classified information, she was banned in the committee until 1988. But after its publication, they started talking about him as a talented writer. He became a member of the Writers' Union. After some time, he became the secretary of the writers' board, later an honorary doctor of the Azerbaijan Academy and vice-president of the international association of writers (PEN-club).

Chingiz Abdullaev has been happily married since 1987. Zuleikha Aliyeva, the writer's wife, is an ophthalmologist by profession. The couple have two adult children. Daughter - Nargiz (born 1988) and son - Jamil (born 1993). Both daughter and son followed in their father's footsteps, graduating from the Law School of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
