Early years, adolescence

Boris Yurievich was born in Moscow on March 18, 1949. The family lived in Polushkino (Moscow region). Parents worked in a rest home, the father held cultural events, he began to attract his son to participate in concerts. Mother worked in the library.

After school, Boris began to study at a technical school as a turner, but did not work by profession. Then there was military service.

Creative biography

After the army, his father arranged for Boris as a loader at the Gorky film studio. Then Grachevsky was taken to the props workshop. Boris was also a handyman on the set of various films. While working on the movie "Barbara Beauty" director Alexander Rowe drew attention to Grachevsky and offered him a small role. Boris had to stick his hand out of the water and threaten with it. Grachevsky remembered this episode from his life for a long time.

Boris worked at the studio for more than 2 years, he was entrusted with various jobs. Then he realized that he wanted to associate with cinema for the rest of his life. Grachevsky managed to enter VGIK, he received a specialty "Organization of film production".

The idea of creating the Yeralash newsreel belongs to Alexander Khmelik, a playwright. Grachevsky became the director of the project, with a reputation as a good organizer. The first issue of the newsreel came out in 1974 and was immediately successful. Over the years, more than 700 stories have been created. Such stars as Stukov Fedor, Loye Sasha, Topalov Vlad, Volkova Yulia, Lazarev Sergey made their debut in "Yeralash".

Grachevsky was able to perfectly organize the filmmaking, the work is very well organized. Once Boris Yuryevich proposed the idea of inviting famous actors, singers, TV presenters and other celebrities to the shooting. This tradition continues to this day.

Personal life

The first wife of Boris Yuryevich was a girl named Galina, a student at MIIT. At that time, Grachevsky worked as a loader at a film studio. They got married in 1970. The young family lived on the outskirts of Moscow, and then they began to live in a communal apartment with Galina's parents.

The couple had a son, Maxim, and then a daughter, Ksenia. With the money borrowed, the family bought a cooperative apartment. Together Boris and Galina lived for 35 years, and then separated. The departure of her husband was unexpected for Galina, she could not forgive him for a long time. Later they stopped communicating.

For some time Grachevsky lived alone, and then he met a young girl named Anna, who became his second wife. She is 38 years younger than Boris Yuryevich. In 2012, the couple had a daughter, Vasilisa, but in 2014 they divorced. In 2015, Grachevsky married Ekaterina Belotserkovskaya, an actress and singer.
