From the moment of birth and throughout life, a person needs documents confirming his existence. But even after he dies, his relatives need to draw up documents confirming his death. These papers will be required to obtain a place for burial, as well as for deregistration or for registration of an inheritance for the remaining property.

Step 1
There are two death certificates that will need to be issued literally on the first day. One, medical, confirms the very fact of death, the second, stamp - it certifies that the person is now listed as dead. A medical death certificate (statistical reporting form No. 106 / u-08) is issued to a representative of the deceased's family, without him it will be impossible to obtain a stamped death certificate.
Step 2
If a person dies in a hospital, a medical death certificate will need to be obtained at the hospital morgue. In cases where a person died young and suddenly, a forensic medical examination will be carried out, on the basis of which a death certificate will be issued by a forensic expert. In other cases, it is drawn up at the clinic at the place of registration of the deceased.
Step 3
Despite the shock and grief, you will need to carefully read the medical certificate and check the correctness of its completion so that you do not have to redo it several times, wasting time. Do not forget to pay attention to the indicated dates and data of the series and passport numbers. This certificate on the reverse side must be certified by the seal of the institution that issued it, as well as the diagnosis must be written there, the doctor must be signed with an indication of his position. Upon receipt of this document, you will need to sign on the spine. Keep in mind that a medical certificate is a very important document. It cannot be lost, since the state registration of death is carried out on it.
Step 4
Having on hand the passport of the deceased, a document proving your identity and a medical death certificate, you must immediately contact the registry office. According to clause 1 of article 63 of the Federal Law "On acts of civil status", for this you can come to the registry office at the last place of residence of the deceased; the place where death occurred or his body was found; as well as in the registry office, located next to the clinic or morgue, where a medical death certificate was issued. At the registry office, you will need to fill out an application in form No. 16. You will need to hand over the passport of the deceased and the medical certificate of his death, and in return you will receive a stamped death certificate of the established state standard.
