Sergey Tomarov is a Russian footballer who also managed to build a coaching career. Most of his professional activities took place in the Ufa football club.
Early biography
Sergey Alexandrovich Tomarov was born in 1982 in the small town of Meleuz, Bashkir Republic. From a young age he became interested in football and was engaged under the guidance of coach Viktor Filippovich Nuikin. In 1999 he entered the Ufa State Aviation Technical University, from which he graduated in 2004 with a diploma of an engineer, a specialist in protection in emergency situations.
In addition to the classic ball game, Sergei, not without success, tried himself in mini-football, playing for the university national team. In the future, he was engaged in both types of sports. He played for the Ufa football club Stroitel, Kushnarenkovskiy Belorechye, Meleuzovskiy Khimik, Annunciation Mirage and others. For some time he played in the Second Division of the Ufa club "Oilman".
After graduation, he played for various mini-football teams: in 2004-2005 he played for the BNZS-Peduniversitet club, playing in the First League, and for the next three years, from 2006 to 2009, he defended the honor of Dynamo-Timal already in the Higher league and super league. It should be noted that the president of the latter at that time was Shamil Gazizov, who later became the head of the Ufa football club. In addition, Sergey Tomarov played several matches for the BSPU farm club.
Further career
In 2009, the Dynamo-Timal futsal club was disbanded, and Sergei Tomarov was temporarily out of work. He returned to his native aviation technical university, but already as a teacher of physical education and even organized a youth mini-football team. Having mastered this sport in all its subtleties, Tomarov was actively engaged in scientific work and in 2011 he defended his Ph. D. thesis on the effectiveness of mini-football in the physical education of students. Sergey also received a second higher education in economics.
In 2010, Tomarov took over as a reserve coach of the Ufa football club. In the future, he repeatedly acted as the main coach of the club, and in 2016, under his leadership, the team beat FC Spartak with a score of 3: 1. In 2018 he was officially appointed head coach of the club. After a while, he left his post and moved to the analytical department, and also worked at the Ufa football school. A year later, Tomarov decided to return to the club's coaching staff, but resigned from the position of head coach.
At the time of 2019, Sergei Tomarov continues to support and train FC Ufa, which has already become de facto dear to him. He also holds the position of professor at the Department of Physical Education at USATU. A successful athlete and coach prefers not to talk about his personal life.
