Step 1
Buy a ticket to Mumbai. The pleasure, of course, does not come cheap, but if you really want to star in an Indian film, there is no other way for an aspiring actor. Stay in the former colonial Colaba area in one of the budget hotels. It is there that you can meet film agents who are looking for extras of European appearance almost round the clock. In order to agree with them about participation in the film, a minimum knowledge of English will be quite enough. You can also meet film agents in the oldest cafe in Mumbai - Leopold's, which is one of the must-see points of the standard tourist route.
Step 2
In order to get to Bollywood, you can go on vacation to the state of Goa. If a film requires a large crowd with the participation of whites (and it is often required), agents come to this particular state, since it has been loved by Europeans and Americans since the days of hippies. Chat with compatriots who live here and find out where you can surely meet people from Bollywood. It is possible that one of our fellow citizens also starred in an Indian film. Ask them to talk about it if they don't mind.
Step 3
If you've agreed with an agent, sign the contract. Usually the fee for participation in extras ranges from $ 30 to $ 50 per shooting day. By the standards of India, this is a lot of money. True, you will have to give up to 30% of the fee to the agent. But on the other hand, you will be provided with free food and accommodation for the entire duration of your participation in the filming.
Step 4
Be calm during filming, follow the orders of the director and his assistants. If something seems funny or ridiculous to you, try to restrain yourself, treat what is happening as serious work. Be prepared for countless takes, and the weather in India is almost always humid and hot. So if you feel any inconvenience, tell the assistant about it, and he will try to help you.
Step 5
It takes a long way to go from being an extra to small roles in episodes. It is desirable for men to master martial arts and dance, women - dance and singing. And although people with a European appearance are so far offered only negative roles or, at best, supporting roles, you can be sure that in populous India you will definitely begin to be recognized on the streets.
