The real name of the singer is Karolina Miroslavna Kuek. She began her singing career with him, but having entered big show business, the girl had to take a pseudonym. This decision was made by her producer Yuri Falyosa, when another participant named Karolina appeared in the competition where his ward performed. I had to urgently look for a new name, Yuri saved the situation - it occurred to him to read Carolina the other way around. As a result, in March 1995, the general public heard about Ani Lorak.
The future star was born on September 27, 1978 in the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine in the city of Kitsman. Even before her birth, it would seem, fate was predetermined: the girl's parents parted, and her mother found herself in complete poverty. As a result, she had to work around the clock, but even so she was unable to feed her family, especially since Carolina was not the only child in the family. From the age of four, Ani dreamed of becoming a famous singer, once she was in a boarding school, she actively participated in local competitions.
