And this is not Nikolai Nikolaevich Drozdov, although, of course, he is a mastodon in this matter. But we will still talk about his colleague in the shop and once a student-ward - Zatevakhin Ivan Igorevich.
Science and creativity
Ivan Igorevich Zatevakhin - a native of the city of Moscow, was born on September 7, 1958. The future TV presenter was born into a family of doctors. Ivan's parents have many regalia behind them. His father is a doctor of medical sciences, a professor and, in the end, an academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences - this man could be told separately. The mother of Ivan Zatevakhin is an anesthesiologist by profession, an employee of the Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery.
Ivan Zatevakhin himself received an excellent education - he is a graduate of the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University. After graduating from the university for 16 years (from 1981 to 1997) he was an employee of the Institute of Oceanology (Moscow). Over the years of work at the institute, Ivan managed to visit all kinds of expeditions and voyages on the water. He was in the waters of five oceans and a dozen different seas of the globe.
Hydrobiology and ecology are the two most interesting, but most difficult specialties that Ivan mastered as a graduate student. In 1988 he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences.
From the age of 34, Ivan has been working in television - first as a consultant-assistant, then as a co-author and co-host of the program "Home Ark". But it was not this program that brought him popularity. A television career has just begun to gain momentum.
The man from the screen
Ivan Zatevakhin became famous thanks, in part, to such a person as Alexander Gurevich (yes, the same permanent host of the program "One Hundred to One"). The fact is that it was Gurevich who suggested to Zatevakhin to make small programs about the animal kingdom, the cycle of which was later, as we know, called "Dialogues about Animals." Thus, since 1994, the enthusiast Ivan Zatevakhin has become the author and host of this wonderful project for many years to come. The program was aired for 23 years, until 2017, thanks to Ivan's dedication and high ratings.
After the successful start of "Dialogues about Animals", the work did not stop there - Ivan Igorevich became the author and host of yet another well-known project - "Dialogues about Fishing".
Today, Ivan Zatevakhin is broadcasting Live Stories on one of the country's main TV channels, Russia-1, in which he shows videos with the participation of animals.
In parallel with his work in the frame, Ivan manages to work on the radio (in the program, the subject of which is also related to animals) and in the print media.
Since 2010, he is, by the way, the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Friend". This magazine is the oldest cynological publication in our country for all dog lovers. And 6 years later, Zatevakhin published a book entitled “Dogs and We. Trainer's Notes”.
It will not be superfluous to add that Ivan is a black belt in karate and a candidate for master of sports in such a sport as water polo.
Personal life
Regarding the personal life of a popular TV presenter, I must say that Ivan has a wife, Elena, and two children. One of the sons Igor is fond of hip-hop culture and releases songs under the nickname "Dog", in which there is a lot of obscene language.
