Childhood, adolescence
Alexey Mikhailovich was born in Vladimir. The family was creative, the parents worked at the Moscow Art Theater. In the 30s they divorced, the second husband of Alexei's mother was Viktor Ardov, a writer. He treated his stepson well. Famous people often visited the family.
In 1941, Alexei and his mother were evacuated to Tatarstan. In 1944, he starred in a film for the first time, he was given a role in the film "Zoya". After the war, they returned to the capital as their mother. Alexey finished his studies at school, began to study at the Moscow Art Theater.
Creative career
Batalov received his specialty in 1950, then began to work in the theater of the Soviet Army. Later he got a role in the movie "Big Family". Alexey collaborated with the director Kheifits for many years: the films The Rumyantsev Case, The Lady with the Dog, and others were released.
In 1957, Batalov starred in the movie "The Cranes Are Flying", which became famous. In the future, the actor had many different jobs. Personal life
The first wife of the actor was Irina Rotova, the artist's daughter. They got married when Batalov was 16 years old. They had a daughter, Nadia. When she was 3 years old, the couple broke up. Subsequently, Batalov did not have a relationship with Nadezhda.
For the second time, Alexei Mikhailovich married Gitana Leontenko, a circus artist. She was a gypsy. Batalov saw Gitana when she performed and fell in love. For many years they simply dated, and in 1963 they decided to get married. They lived together for 50 years.
The couple had a daughter, Masha, who had cerebral palsy since birth. Gitana stopped performing in the circus and began to take care of the child. Maria Batalova graduated from VGIK. She moves with the help of a wheelchair, writes scripts, does charity work.
