The future actress was born on December 22, 1926 in a large peasant family. At that time, the parents lived in the village of Babynino, Yaroslavl Region. A few months later, the Pavlov family moved to Moscow. My father began to work in a printing house. The mother was engaged in housekeeping and raised six children - two daughters and four sons. Despite material shortcomings, they lived in the house amicably and cheerfully. The older sister always took little Sonya with her to watch the next movie.
Professional activity
After the 8th grade, Pavlova went to the courses of typists-stenographers. Six months later, a qualified typist was hired by the printing house. In the evenings, Sophia was educated at a pedagogical school. With the maximum load, she managed to attend classes at the theater studio at the house of culture of the Bolshevik plant. In 1948, Pavlova, on her first attempt, entered the acting department of the famous GITIS. After completing her studies, the certified actress entered the service at the Ermolova Drama Theater.
The actress had a beautiful face, tall stature and a stately figure. Thanks to her external data, she began to play the main roles. Critics praised her performance in the play "Pushkin", where Pavlova reincarnated as the poet's wife Natalya Nikolaevna. In 1957, Pavlova was invited to the main role in the cult film "Communist". The film has repeatedly received positive reviews at international film festivals. Then Sofya Afinogenovna played the main and leading roles in the films "Salt of the Earth", "I Can't Say Goodbye", "Male Talk".

The personal life of the actress developed on the second attempt. The first time she married a handsome colleague Pavel Shalnov. The marriage did not last long. The husband went to another, leaving Sophia in the seventh month of pregnancy. The woman had a miscarriage.
The second marriage turned out to be lasting. But the husband and wife had no children. Sofya Pavlovna died in January 1991.
