To be successful in a certain type of professional activity requires not only talent, but also dedication. Yadviga Poplavskaya showed remarkable efforts and organizational skills to achieve this goal.
Childhood and youth
On the territory of the planet, which is called Belarus, people have long been composing and singing melodious songs. Talented children are born here who absorb folk motives and remember them at the genetic level. Yadviga Konstantinovna Poplavskaya was born on May 1, 1949 in a creative family. She turned out to be the second child in the house. She has an older sister and a younger brother. Parents at that time lived in the village of Dalidovichi. The father, a well-known art worker and collector of folk songs, was engaged in the processing of the collected material here.
The head of the family dreamed of creating a family musical group. Nothing came of this idea, but all the children tied their fate with music. Yadviga studied well at school. She was a neat and collected girl. I always tried to bring the planned cases to completion. Simultaneously with her studies, she actively participated in amateur art shows and studied at a music school in the piano class. Having received a certificate of maturity, Poplavskaya entered the composition department at the Belarusian Conservatory.
Creative route
In her student years, Yadviga tried not to miss concerts of pop artists who came on tour to Minsk. Once, with great effort, she managed to "get" tickets for the concert of the famous vocal and instrumental ensemble "Pesnyary". Poplavskaya was literally fascinated by the work of this group. At the same time, she immediately decided to create a similar creative team, the thought of which she had been hatching for a long time. Yadviga, together with her fellow students, organized an ensemble called "Verasy", in which only girls participated.
After some time, the composition of the team became mixed. One of the men who came was guitarist Alexander Tikhonovich. In 1974, the ensemble gained fame throughout the country, after taking first place in the All-Union competition, performing the song "Malinovka". Creative affairs went, as they say, uphill, but in 1987, after a loud scandal, Yadviga and Alexander left the group. They left and decided to pursue their own career, performing as a duet, which was called "Happy Accident".
Recognition and privacy
Yadviga and Alexander got married in 1975. They worked hard and toured almost half the world. In 2005, both of them were awarded the title of People's Artists of Belarus. The family had a daughter, Anastasia, who got married and gave her parents a grandson, Ivan.
Poplavskaya and Tikhonovich lived under one roof for over forty years. Alexander struggled with a serious illness for a long time. Most modern treatments failed and he passed away in January 2017. In order not to fall into depression, Yadviga Konstantinovna continues to lead an active lifestyle. Performs in group concerts. Teaches vocal art to aspiring singers.
