Biography
The homeland of Magomed Malikov is the Dagestani village of Aimaki, where the athlete was born in 1983 on March 26. The family of Magomed Malikov is large - his parents raised seven children. Magomed has three sisters and three brothers. The future athlete graduated from a rural secondary school and entered the physical culture faculty of the Pedagogical University of the Dagestan capital. Having received a higher education, the young man served in the army for the prescribed period and, after demobilization, devoted his life to professional sports.
The beginning of the way
His fighting career began with participation in hand-to-hand combat tournaments. Magomed Malikov is a master of sports in this type of martial arts. His successful performances have brought the wrestler a huge number of awards. The Dagestani athlete is a prize-winner of such competitions as the All-Russian tournament, the Caspian Cup, the world championship of mixed martial arts. Magomed won the Combat Sambo World Cup. The sports club, whose honor is defended by Magomed Malikov, bears the significant name "Fortress". For his contribution to the development of sports, Magomed Sharabudinovich was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Physical Education of the Republics of Dagestan and Ingushenia.
Malikov's first performance in mixed martial arts competitions took place in 2010-2011, when the stages of the "Honor of the Warrior" championship were held. After winning the qualifying round, the athlete was in for a deafening performance in the final - in the very first battle with Dmitry Poberezhets, the reigning world champion, he knocked out his opponent. However, Malikov could not resist such an experienced fighter as Baga Agayev.
Sports career
The next significant victory came to Magomed Malikov in 2011, when in Anapa at the FightStar tournament, the athlete showed complete superiority over all rivals.
In the same year, a fight with the famous Alexander Emelianenko took place. The battle lasted 23 seconds, followed by a technical knockout. It was a sensational speech by Magomed Sharabudinovich Malikov! The Dagestan fighter entered the elite ten of the strongest Russian hand-to-hand combatants. It was recognized as the best M-1 organization.
The following years were fruitful for the athlete, almost every performance was accompanied by victories and the delight of the fans with the unsurpassed strength of Magomed Malikov. The famous fight with Jeff Monson is known, in which Magomed made a technical knockout to an American. This historic battle took place as part of the M-1 tournament held in Dzheirakh in winter 2013.
Currently, the Dagestan athlete devotes a lot of time to social work. He participates in the political life of the Republic of Dagestan, being an example to follow for young Dagestanis.
