The political situation in modern Russia remains tense. According to statistics, the country has an unjustifiably high percentage of the population living below the poverty line. They have been trying to close this problem for a long time, but the results achieved leave much to be desired. Vladislav Yuryevich Surkov is one of those federal officials who shape the agenda for the entire country.
Childhood and youth
Vladislav Surkov was born on September 21, 1964 in one of the villages of the Lipetsk region. When the child was five years old, his mother took him with her and moved to the city of Skopin, which is located in the Ryazan region. She was offered a job as a geography teacher at a local school. In 1971, Vladik went to first grade and ten years later received a certificate of maturity. Over the years spent at school, he proved himself to be a capable student and sociable teenager. He actively worked in the Komsomol. He was engaged in amateur performances. He wrote music and poetry.
In 1981 he graduated from high school and went to get higher education at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. However, Surkov did not succeed in becoming a professional metallurgist. From the second year he was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. The student served in the elite units based on the territory of the Hungarian People's Republic. In the biography of Vladislav there is a record that he studied for almost two years at the capital's institute of culture. And again, the career of a pop performer or director did not work out. In 1987, the future government official met Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Ironically, this acquaintance served as a launching pad for moving upward. At first, Vladislav Surkov was in charge of the advertising service of the Youth Initiatives Fund. He knew well how teenagers live and what goals they set for themselves. The transfer of the Russian economy from a planned platform to market principles led to the rapid development of the advertising business. In the mid-90s, Surkov headed the Russian Association of Advertisers, and then moved to a senior position in the Minatep Bank, to Khodorkovsky.
Member of the government
The successful development of various business projects allowed Vladislav Surkov to acquire a wide range of useful acquaintances and connections. In 1999 he was invited to work in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. According to the job description, his focus was on the internal policy of the government and the implementation of large-scale projects. At that time, the bottleneck in the public administration system was the interaction between the federal center and the municipal level.
Surkov developed and presented a plan for the creation of the now famous United Russia party. This project turned out to be successful and long-term. During that period, the president of Russia changed twice, but Vladislav Yuryevich, as they say, did not fall out of the cage. Since 2013, he has been listed as Assistant to the President of the country for interaction with the CIS countries.
The personal life of Vladislav Surkov does not arouse much interest. He is married twice. In his second marriage, he has a large family - three children are growing up. The husband and wife adhere to traditional values. Love and respect reign in the house.
