early years
Ivan Ivanovich was born on July 23, 1963. His hometown is Syzran. The boy showed early creative inclinations. At the age of 10, he got into the "Comrade" children's studio. Demidov was an active leader, organizer of school events.
In 1980, the family began to live in the capital, Ivan's father was given the post of Deputy Minister of Communications. Demidov served in the army in the Airborne Forces. After demobilization, he worked as an illuminator at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Center, he had friendly relations with Voroshilov Vladimir. In 1995, Demidov received a diploma from the Pedagogical Institute of Pyatigorsk, where he studied in absentia.
Career
After working as an illuminator for 4 years, Ivan was an administrator of TV programs. His work was successful, so he was invited to the Youth Festival (North Korea, 1989), where he was the lighting director.
In the same period, Demidov was hired as a director of the "Look" program, which gradually turned from information and entertainment to analytical. In 1990, Ivan and his colleagues founded the VID television company, where he was also a director. The company made programs for TV channels: "Field of Miracles", "Tema", "Unlucky Notes", etc.
Demidov became popular, having come up with the program "MuzOboz", where he was the presenter, director. For 3 years, Ivan directed the talk show "Sharks of the Feather" (presenter Ilya Legostoaev). The program began to be called a provocative project. In the same period, the program "Party Zone" was released with Kudryavtseva Leroy, the director was also Demidov.
In the mid-90s, Ivan was in charge of the TV-6 Moscow channel, in 1995 he was promoted to vice president, and then became general director. He could often be seen on the KVN jury. In 2001, Evgeniy Kiselev became the general director. After leaving TV-6, Demidov created the Spas channel, which was aimed at Orthodox viewers.
Ivan is interested in social activities, politics. In 2000, he became a member of the Academy of Television Foundation. Demidov became an advisor, coordinator of the United Russia party, and implemented humanitarian and ideological directions.
In May 2012, he was promoted to Deputy Minister of Culture for Cinematography, but left the post in 2013. Since 2015, Ivan Ivanovich has headed the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Art. In 2018, he became an advisor to the chairman of the State Duma.
Personal life
The ex-wife of Ivan Ivanovich - Elena, was the producer of the programs "Party zone", "Sharks of the pen" on TV-6. They had a daughter, Anastasia. She studied at Moscow State University, works in London.
Demidov continues to maintain friendly relations with his ex-wife, remains single. In one interview, he said that he was very busy and there was simply no time for his personal life.
