Biathlete Alexander Loginov is a five-time European champion, Honored Master of Sports. In 2017, he became the bronze medalist of the World Championship.
Family, early years
Alexander Viktorovich was born on January 31, 1992. His homeland is Saratov. Already in childhood, Alexander was fond of sports (karate, skiing). From the age of 13, he studied at the CYSS of the Olympic reserve, his coach was Khaliullina Ekaterina. Loginov made progress in biathlon, cross-country skiing, a year later he became a candidate for master of sports.
Alexander successfully passed regional, all-Russian competitions, and then got into the national team. However, after graduating from school, he decided to pursue higher education. For this, the young man entered the agricultural university.
Career
In 2010, the junior team, which included Loginov, participated in the world championship. The event took place in Sweden. Alexander became the fourth and fifth in the personal race, and was the first in the relay.
In 2011, at competitions in the Czech Republic (Nove Mesto), he took 1st place in the relay, and in personal races - 3rd. In 2012-2013. Loginov won first place at the World Cup (Austria, Obertilliach), 2 European Championships (Slovakia, Osrblie and Bulgaria, Bansko).
In 6 tournaments, he won half of the 18 medals. In 2013 in Holmenkollen (Norway) he was 5th in the sprint race, and in the pursuit - 3rd.
At the Sochi Olympics, Loginov participated in the relay, where thanks to him, Russian biathletes were able to win. At the World Cup (Annecy) he was the first in the relay.
Loginov showed his best result in 2014 at the World Cup (Kontiolahti, Finland). However, then his sports career ended abruptly, in November 2014 he was suspended from training, participation in competitions. Reason: the results of a doping test, in which a drug was found that is unacceptable for use. The disqualification lasted until 2016, and then Alexander returned to biathlon.
In 2017, he became the first in the races (pursuit, individual) at the European Championship (Duszniki-Zdroj, Poland). In the sprint race, Loginov won second place. In addition to him, Starykh Irina returned to biathlon after being disqualified. Both athletes began to be considered the protagonists of the European Championship. At the World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria) Loginov was third in the mixed relay.
Personal life
Loginov's wife was Margarita Yarostova, a biathlete. In her biography - a victory in the summer biathlon competition (junior championship, Russia). Margarita is a candidate for master of sports, on account of her bronze received at the European cross-country championship.
Loginov is 3 years older than his wife. The relationship lasted for several years, and then Margarita and Alexander got married. In 2017, the marriage ended in divorce. Later, Alexander found a new love. Sportsman's hobbies: fishing, watching your favorite movies.
