After entering the school of the Olympic reserve at the age of thirteen, Alexander seriously thought about biathlon.
His sister Tatyana Bregeda was engaged in this sport, and she interested her brother. He got to the talented mentor Ekaterina Nikolaevna Khariullina. A year later, the teenager had already fulfilled the standards, became a candidate for master of sports in cross-country skiing and biathlon.

2014 was also successful. At the eighth stage in Kontiolahti, Sasha was second, showing the best personal result. That same year, in the spring, the achievement was repeated in the pursuit.
Problems and solutions
At the start, her career was interrupted by a doping scandal. Alexander was suspended in the fall of 2014 until November 2016. The results of the doping tests were later invalidated. After the end of the time of disqualification, the biathlete began training with renewed vigor.
In January, at the European Championships in Poland, he became the leader, winning silver in the sprint race. The athlete received gold for the mixed relay. A new milestone was crossed in the Austrian Hochfilzen. The biathlete became the third.
