We must not forget about the great monuments of the world that are in our neighborhood, which, for example, is the Moscow Kremlin or the Cathedral, which has become a symbol of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Kremlin, for example, was rebuilt several times until it reached the greatness for which it has been famous for more than one century. Ivan III the Great began its reconstruction, but the turning point was the construction of the Assumption Cathedral, followed by the Kremlin walls and towers.
History giants
The great Incas left little evidence of their existence, however, Machu Picchu, a city surrounded by dense tropics, is one of the clearest testimonies of the grandiose scale of an extinct civilization.
The magnificent Taj Mahal is an architectural dedication to the woman you love, or the Acropolis, filled with many magnificent temples built of white marble, a sacred site located in Athens. They are truly masterpieces of ancient art.
Statues and steles
Among non-architectural monuments, there are very majestic and even gigantic specimens, remember, for example, the famous monument to the Motherland of the Mother in Kiev or Volgograd, the monument to Peter the Great in Moscow, the Rabocheye and the collective farm woman, numerous monuments dedicated to V. I. Lenin, which are part of history and are found in many Russian cities, or a huge Chinese statue of Buddha. They are completely different, filled with different sounds and symbolism, ideological dogmas and religious cults, but they are all significant for humanity, they are all part of the world outlook of people in a particular historical era.
How not to mention the famous statue of Christ, located on the hill of San Edroili, the statue of Jesus the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The Statue of Liberty, located in New York and symbolizing the victory of a democratic way of life over the oppression of old Europe, can be attributed to the great monuments of the world.
It is impossible to mention the huge Egyptian Sphinx in Giza and the giant pharaohs in Abu Simbel, and the Moai on Easter Island - monolithic sculptures, carved from volcanic rocks with the help of an unknown force, still test the minds of scientists and researchers, asking more and more new mysteries of their own destiny and creation.
Monument to Genghis Khan in Mongolia is an example of contemporary monumental art. It houses a huge museum of the people of Mongolia.
All these monuments and monuments are a universal human heritage, worthy of admiration and are equally considered symbols of the time of their creation, the grandeur and scale of human thought of their era.
