Elena Anatolyevna Tchaikovskaya is a true figure skating professional. She has achieved amazing results in her distinguished career. But Elena Anatolyevna believes that everything is just beginning and the most interesting is yet to come.
Childhood and youth
In 1939, little Elena was born into a creative family of actors. Her parents were like-minded people and shared one profession for two - both worked in the Mossovet theater. The birthplace of his father - Anatoly Osipov - was Moscow. Elena's mother, Tatyana Golman, was from an ancient German family that had great influence at one time.
The girl's childhood took place in wartime. The whole family huddled in a small room in the capital. Due to the fact that my mother had German roots, she was expelled from the capital with her newborn Elena in her arms. She was forced to leave for Kazakhstan for seven long years. Living in those days was scary, hungry and cold. The woman experienced more than one misfortune at that time. They and their daughter were saved only by a handful of inherited gold coins. Elena's dad stayed in Moscow and gave performances along with the front-line theater.
After the long-awaited victory, together with the grown-up girl, Tatyana decided to return home, but this was extremely problematic. The authorities constantly put sticks in the wheels. Anatoly had to use all his influence to help the family come to the capital. And, finally, luck smiled at them and the family was reunited again. But someone already lived in their apartment, so the parents had to rent a room in the theater hostel. Little Lena was constantly present at the rehearsals, watching the performances with her mouth open. And once she even starred with her dad in a film.
The beginning of the way
The girl was predicted a brilliant acting career. But fate was free to decide otherwise. During the seven years spent in Kazakhstan, the girl fell ill with tuberculosis. The doctors shrugged their shoulders, they could not help. The only thing they could advise was to do more physical exercise in the fresh air.
So Elena began to engage in figure skating. And after a year of active training, the disease receded.
The girl's youth was very eventful. Lena managed to be in several places at the same time. Lena did a little bit of everything: she skated, played music and from time to time took part in theatrical performances.
At some point, she wanted to seriously get carried away with music, but the apartment was so small that the piano simply did not fit there. Therefore, the girl focused on sports. She was lucky enough to study with Tatyana Tolmacheva, the prima of Russian figure skating. Already in her teens, Elena Anatolyevna managed to achieve outstanding success. She became a master of sports at the age of 15. And 2 years later, for single skating, the girl received a gold medal.
Then there was an unexpected turn of events. Elena suddenly, for no reason at all, decided to end her sports career. Parents were indignant and dissuaded her from hasty actions. But she was at such a wonderful age when a person is stormy in all directions and he really does not know what he wants. Elena practically entered the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, but changed her mind at the last moment. Where to go? What to do? There was no answer to these questions.
And then chance intervened in her life. Ice ballet from America came to Moscow on tour. The girl was delighted, she was amazed at what she saw. It was then that she had a plan to organize a similar show on the territory of our country. The thought was innovative. People who could reproduce even remotely something similar simply did not exist. Therefore, the ambitious athlete decided to become a pioneer.
Coaching debut
She went to study at the GITIS ballet department and graduated with honors. Preparation at the institute was at the highest level: strong teachers gave many students a start in life. The first wards of Tchaikovskaya were Proskurin and Tarasova. Elena put the program to them herself. It was her coaching debut. The couple competed at the European Championships in 1965. The day before, the coach was very worried and could not sleep a wink at night. Brilliant triumphs will still be ahead, and at that time she was only 21 years old. She was just starting her career, taking the first steps on this difficult, but at the same time interesting path.
Naturally, the guys received nothing that year. Affected by the lack of coaching experience. But they did not lose heart, but boldly looked into the bright future. The team took the loss as a signal that they did not complete it a little. Young people continued training at an increased pace. The athletes gave their best, but they never won medals. Tarasova, having received a serious shoulder injury, was forced to retire from the sport.
Elena Anatolyevna, who in the future will have many successful students-medalists, admits that it is them, her first pair, that she will never forget.
Now Tchaikovskaya puts on whole performances on ice. Spectators, with bated breath, greedily grab every minute. At the beginning of the new millennium, in 2001, her cherished dream came true - she became the head of her own figure skating school.
Personal life
Elena Anatolyevna does not really like to talk about her personal life. She was married twice. They had known their first husband since school, and at the institute they decided to get married. A son, Igor, was born in marriage. Elena's second husband is journalist Anatoly Tchaikovsky. Elena Anatolyevna fell victim to charm, and in 1965 the young people got married. Their union exists to this day.
Now Tchaikovskaya is actively working, making her dreams come true. Truly a coach from God, she does not separate herself from the profession for a second, finding genuine joy in it and enjoying the work done.
Elena Anatolyevna has a nickname - Madame. She received it for her dedication, success and positive attitude to life.
