When sending a letter to or within Ukraine, you need to know the recipient's postal code. It can now be found out in various ways: by mail, through business directories of cities, or using the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember the rules for writing addresses on mail. In the upper left corner of the envelope, indicate the sender's address, and in the lower right corner - the recipient of the letter. The address data of the sender and recipient are written in the following sequence. First - the last name, first name, patronymic of the person or the name of the enterprise. Then follow the street, house and apartment (office) number. Then add the city, postal code and country name - "Ukraine". If the correspondence is sent within Ukraine, then you do not need to write the country on the envelope. Please note that there is a separate space for specifying the mail recipient index in envelopes.
Step 2
In Ukraine, postal codes are five-digit. The first two digits of the index (from 01 to 99) indicate the locality, and the remaining three are the number of the corresponding post office. For example, for the city of Kiev, the general postal code is 01001.
Step 3
Go to the website of the Ukrainian state enterprise of postal services "Ukrposhta". There you can find out the index both by the name of the selected settlement and by a specific street (for cities and urban-type settlements). Please note that multiple zip codes can be linked to the same street. Then, in the search results on the site, the numbers of houses to which this or that index belongs will also be displayed. Additionally, here you can find the coordinates of the required post office.
Step 4
Also, the postal code of the required enterprise or institution can be found on their pages on the Internet or using search engines. To do this, type in the search bar the name of the company (institution), as well as the city in which it is located.
Step 5
If the Internet access is temporarily unavailable, find out the index of interest at the post office when sending correspondence. As a rule, there are special guides there. A postal employee can also give the necessary advice.
