Elizabeth herself is not very fond of talking about herself, and there is practically no interview with this popular writer anywhere. She prefers to keep a diary, communicate with her subscribers and do what she loves - writing books.
Childhood
Elizaveta Vasilievna Shumskaya was born on October 19, 1982 in the Ukraine in the city of Dnepropetrovsk. Her father, Vasily Shumskoy, was a military man, which automatically exposed the family to a nomadic lifestyle.
Already in infancy, Liza's family moved to Kazakhstan, to the city of Alma-Ata. However, she did not live in this capital for long. Already at the age of seven, the girl goes to the first grade of the school in the city of Lebedyan, which is located in the Lipetsk region in Russia.
As the author of the books herself pointed out, it was at school that she fell in love with writing. She especially liked to create essays on various topics. And he considers the writing of a fairy tale, which was homework from the teacher, to be the starting point of his creativity.
The family remains in the Lipetsk region for a long time, after seven years they move to the capital of the region, where the future writer not only graduated from high school, but also entered the Lipetsk State Pedagogical University. Upon graduation, Elizabeth had a diploma in History and Political Science.
Becoming an author
It was in the institute that Elizabeth was carried away by a new direction for herself, from which she subsequently began to draw material for her famous books. Namely - she got into the role-playing community.
Few people know that roleplayers are a special people. And most often - harmless, because they have an unspoken rule - after their games, they do not leave trash, do not drink alcohol at their events and they are only glad to every new player.
These people mostly take historical events as a basis or come up with their own fantastic worlds, assign roles for players, write character characteristics, compose key moments of the game, prescribe connections between characters, determine the appearance, etc. After preparation for the game is over (and it can be from a month to six months in time) - they gather in a certain agreed location and play the plot in live interaction.
It was in such a community that Elizaveta Shumskaya got into her second year of university. And as she says, "forever gone." The first contribution to her work was games based on the worlds of Tolkien, as well as related to them. It is from there that her fantasy worlds, described in numerous novels, originate.

Elizabeth began to post her literary works on various Internet resources, allowing authors to publish their works free of charge, evaluate colleagues and seek recognition. At the moment, her works can be found on such sites as Samizdat, LiveJournal and Proza.ru. Also, as the author pointed out in her blog, work is now underway on her personal site, where all the works will be collected.
