Starting positions

To sing songs, a person needs a voice and hearing. There are many naturally gifted people, but not everyone chooses a career as a musician. The future leader of the famous ensemble Severin Kraevsky was born on January 3, 1947 in the small village of Nova Sul. After a while, the family moved to the legendary city of Sopot. Severin spent his childhood here. During this period, Poland was rising from the ruins after a devastating war. Consumer goods in stores were issued with coupons. The mother worked alone to feed her two sons.

Kraevsky studied well at school. In parallel, he attended classes at a music school, where he studied violin. With great difficulty, the boy managed to get a guitar, on which he began to perform etudes of his own composition. Possessing perfect pitch and a rich imagination, Severin quickly mastered the given program. Even within the walls of the school, senior comrades paid attention not to his work. After completing his education, he accepted the invitation and began to play in the "Notny Stan" group.

On the wave of success

Over time, in the early 60s, musical groups of various genres began to appear in Poland. Severin systematically worked on new melodies and arrangements of already popular songs. With his perseverance and results, Kraevsky earned appreciation both among fellow composers and among performers. At one point, the musician became a member of the "Guitar Chervony" group. For several years he was listed as a guitarist, in 1970 he was elected the head of the band.

Kraevsky considered his team to be no worse than European and American ensembles. Polish musicians, unwillingly and without noticing, conveyed a Slavic basis in their melodies. When the group was invited to go on tour to the Soviet Union, the guys got a little sick, but they gladly agreed. Have done a thorough preparation. The debut performance took place in Moscow. "Chervony Guitar" immediately felt the sincere love of the audience. The audience enthusiastically sang along to the guests.

Personal life score

Kraevsky devoted all his time and energy to creativity. The repertoire of the group included his songs "Do not turn up your nose", "Anna-Maria", "Such beautiful eyes" and many others. The discs with the "Red Guitars" recordings were released in Poland, the Soviet Union and other countries.

Severin's personal life developed like that of many musicians. After several novels, he married a girl who worked as a fashion model. Stately. Beautiful. Not stupid. The husband and wife had two sons. In 1990, one of the sons died in a car accident. The second became a composer. The spouses live in Warsaw.
