The creator of the Moroz Film film company, producer, director and actor - all this is combined in one person by Yuri Moroz, whom most viewers know from his brainchildren: the series Pelagia and the White Bulldog and Kamenskaya.
Yuri was born in 1956, in the Luhansk region, in the city of Krasnodon. This is the city that famous Alexander Fadeev described in his novel "Young Guard".
As a child, Yuri did not think about the profession of a director or actor - he dreamed of the same professions as the boys in his class. Moreover, after school, he does not go to a university, but to a school in order to get a working profession. However, a year later he makes a "big somersault": he goes to Moscow to enter the Moscow Art Theater School and passes!
After graduation - the Lenin Komsomol Theater, where Yuri served for almost ten years. And then the director's path beckoned him, and the young actor went to comprehend this science at VGIK, to the famous Sergei Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova. He was fascinated by this profession so much that he became president of the Young Filmmakers Association, which he heads from 1993 to the present.
Actor and director career
In 1980, Sergei Gerasimov removes the historical tape "At the beginning of glorious deeds", where Yuri played the role of Alyoshka Brovkin - this is his first job as an actor. He was busy in the continuation of this film - the film "Youth of Peter". Later he starred in detective stories, comedies, melodramas, and everywhere he reincarnated so that it was difficult to recognize him.
He became famous after the role of Tony in the operetta "Princess of the Circus", and the comedy "We Need a Soloist", the drama "Lermontov" and the detective "Visit to the Minotaur" increased his fame.
However, directing was the main dream and main business, so in 1990 he shot the film "Dungeon of the Witches", and two years later - the political detective "Black Square". These films did not bring him much success, but in 1999 real glory came to Moroz: the crime series "Kamenskaya" was released, which was watched by millions of viewers. In terms of quality, this is one of the best television series - so careful was the approach to the selection of material and filming.
Moroz's social drama Tochka was celebrated abroad: actresses Daria Moroz, Victoria Isakova and Anna Ukolova received prizes at the Chicago Film Festival. Also, the tape was nominated for the main prize "Kinotavr".
Two years later, the director removes "The Brothers Karamazov", then the series "Children of Vanyukhin" is released, but the series "Apostle" (2008) becomes a real event in the film industry. A year later - a new success: the detective story "Pelagia and the White Bulldog" based on Boris Akunin.
The director Frost also had failures: "Fort Ross: In Search of Adventure" was somehow not accepted by either the audience or the critics. True, the director was not in a creative crisis for a long time - in 2014 he shot the series "The Inquisitor", which the audience fell in love with.
The director's immediate plans include the Gambler series and the Faina film about Faina Ranevskaya.
Personal life
Yuri Moroz met his first wife on the set - it was actress Marina Levtova. The story of their rapprochement is quite interesting: while Marina was pondering whether to accept the courtship of a young man or not, Yuri met her father, he liked him. And then Marina was imbued with sympathy for the young actor.
Then there was a student wedding, a dorm room, the birth of her daughter Dasha, who is now a famous actress.
Yuri and Marina lived together for 20 years, until the death of Marina while riding a snowmobile.
The second wife of Yuri Moroz is a wonderful actress Victoria Isakova, whom they met by chance. A tragedy happened in their life - their four-month-old daughter died. However, grief only rallied the spouses.
Now both are working on their projects, they are friends with Dasha and her daughter Anya. And they believe that there are still many happy moments of life ahead.
