Biography
In July 1995, on the 12th, in the English city of Kingston-upon-Thames, the talented athlete Luke Paul Hor Show was born. From childhood, the boy had a love for football: he loved to watch football on TV, but even more he loved to play the ball in the yard. Luke Shaw has been rooting for the capital's Chelsea club since early childhood and dreamed of getting into the aristocratic team someday to play alongside his idol Gianfranca Zola. At the age of eight, his parents took Luke to the Chelsea Development School in Guildford. He studied there for some time, but he failed to break into the main academy of the club.
Despite his disappointment, Luke did not give up trying to break into the "football Olympus" and continued to train hard. Several years of wandering led the talented youngster to the Southampton school, which raised the future star. Luke spent eight fruitful years at the academy, and in 2012 he took part in a match for the first time as a professional player.
Career
Luke Shaw made his debut in the English Premier League on January 28, 2012. Shaw appeared in the English Cup game against Millwall. In the first season for the Saints, this was the only match in which Luke entered the field. But already from the next season, he was firmly entrenched in the base and played two seasons in almost every match. In total, Shaw played three incomplete seasons, in which he appeared on the field 67 times.
Rapid progress and hard work could not be ignored by the football giants, and soon a real hunt began for a promising defender. Despite the reluctance of the head coach to sell the talented player, in the summer of 2014 the athlete agreed on the transfer and entered into a long-term agreement with the Manchester United club.
In the first seasons, Shaw was in the rotation of the club and came out mainly as a substitute, much less often appearing at the start. In September 2015, he was seriously injured in a Champions League match. He had to miss the rest of the season and the beginning of the next one. It took more than nine months to recover. Due to the player's penchant for injury, former Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho practically pulled Shaw out of the squad. In April 2017, Luke was again seriously injured and spent about five months in the infirmary. Permanent injuries, rotation and a difficult relationship with the coach have generated a lot of rumors about Shaw's imminent departure from Manchester United.
At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Luke Shaw, thanks to his fighting nature, proved to everyone that he can play at the top level, showing a brilliant game. For several matches, he was able to snatch a place in the base and even received the "Player of the Month" award.
England squad
Despite his national team debut in 2014, Shaw never established himself as a national team member. In total, he played eight matches for the national team, the last of which took place in 2018, within the League of Nations.
Personal life
The famous football player is still a beloved child in his close-knit family, always and in everything receiving the support and approval of his parents. He is in a relationship with Anushka Santos, with whom he plans to get married, leaving in the past an affair with British model Shelby Billingham.
