Step 1
Ask the police officer to introduce himself before following his request. According to the "Regulations of the patrol and guard service" you have the right to see his ID. Already thanks to this requirement, an unpleasant conversation can end. Firstly, not every faculty member carries a certificate with him. Secondly, he may be intimidated by your literacy.
If the document is presented, write down the full name, the name of the ATS and the number of the certificate. This will force the police officer to be neat and careful with you.
Step 2
Call a loved one, tell him the details of the police officer, so that in case of trouble they can confirm that you have communicated with this or that police officer. Another option: dial 02 and say: "I, surname, name, patronymic, was illegally stopped by your employee on such and such street." Calls to 02 are recorded and verified.
Step 3
Find out why the police officer contacted you. Remember that the presence or absence of a residence permit may be of interest only to employees of the Federal Migration Service and district police officers. A regular check of documents, a staff member of the PPS has the right to carry out only in one case: he must have serious reasons to believe that you are on the wanted list or have committed a crime. True, he can say that you look like a criminal whom he was given an orientation to. In this case, it is better to present your documents.

Show your document without letting go. By giving it to a faculty member, you run the risk. An unscrupulous policeman can put a document in his pocket, although, according to the law, a passport can be seized only in two cases - conviction to imprisonment and detention.
Step 5
Demand to inspect your personal belongings only with the drawing up of a protocol and in the presence of attesting witnesses. If you feel that something is being put in your pocket, do not react or touch the object in any way. There is a question in the detention report: "Are there things with you that do not belong to you?" Answer positively and be sure to indicate who and when planted this thing for you. It will be difficult to prove that this item is yours, there are no fingerprints on it. After all, it is impossible to put something in your pocket without touching it.

Be polite. Not every staff member of the teaching staff, stopping a passerby, pursues selfish goals. There are many honest and decent people among the police. Therefore, you should not show excessive aggression. Just show that you know your rights.
