Vladimir Semashko is a former Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. From the biography of Vladimir Ilyich Semashko
The future statesman of the Republic of Belarus was born on November 20, 1949 in the city of Kalinkovichi, Gomel region.
In 1972, Semashko graduated with honors from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. Immediately after graduation, Vladimir went to serve in the army. He retired to the reserve in 1974. And immediately he plunged into production activities, accumulating experience and honing the knowledge and skills acquired at the university.
Career of Vladimir Semashko
Technical education became the key to the career achievements of Vladimir Ilyich. Semashko began his career as a design engineer at the design bureau of the "Integral" machine-building plant. Doros to the head of the design bureau, after which he worked as the chief engineer of the enterprise.
In 1996, Semashko was appointed head of the Gorizont plant (Minsk). Since 2001 Vladimir Ilyich has been the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. Ambassador to Russia
In the fall of 2018, Semashko becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Russia. At the same time, he began to represent his country in the CIS Economic Council. He is also responsible for cooperation within the Union State and the CSTO. Russia and Belarus are neighbors and closest allies, therefore, the activities of the ambassador to the Russian Federation should contribute to the development of trade, economic, cultural and human relations between the two states, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko emphasized when Semashko was appointed.

In recent years, contradictions have arisen between the two countries more than once, most of which are of an economic nature. However, the difference of interests in economic activity cannot be an obstacle to deepening cooperation in the economy and social sphere, Semashko said.
