Selma Ergech was born on November 1, 19778 in the small German town of Hamm. Her Turkish father worked as a doctor, and her mother was a German nurse in a local hospital. When the girl was five years old, her family moved from Germany to Turkey in the city of Mersin, and later to Ankara. In 1989, my father received a job offer, and the family returned to Germany.
The parents paid special attention to the education of the girl, the father dreamed that the daughter would continue the family business and become a doctor. In 1995, after graduating from high school, Selma began her studies at Oxford Headington School. Thanks to her efforts and academic success, she fell under the student exchange program and at the end of 1996 moved to France to study.
