Tatyana Mishina is a Soviet figure skater, USSR champion in 1973 in women's single skating. The wife of figure skating coach Alexei Mishin. He is the master of sports of the USSR.
Tatyana Nikolaevna Oleneva started skating from an early age. Figure skating has become the love of her life. Graduated from GDOIFK. The most famous trainees of the coach are Sofya Samodurova, Artur Gachinsky, Andrey Lazukin, Alexander Petrov, Andrey Lutai.
The beginning of a sports career
The biography of the future champion began in 1954. She was born on June 16 in Leningrad. In early childhood, the parents sent the girl to the figure skating section. From the beginning of classes, the child was very disciplined, purposeful. Tanya was never afraid of the obligation to come to the rink in the early morning, to give up childhood weaknesses for the sake of sportsmanship.
After exhausting workouts, the girl had difficulty getting home in the late evening. I had to work out on an open skating rink, so we used every opportunity for training, regardless of distance. When the skating rink opened in the park, all free time passed on it. Classes continued until school.
The first grader had to combine sports and studies. It was very difficult, but the teachers understood the girl and went to meet her. They asked in all severity, but they allowed a retake. By that time, figure skating had captured Tatyana so much that she lacked compulsory training.
After school, she would come home, have a quick lunch and go for a run. I had to maintain the right weight, follow a diet.
Road to success
Training began daily at eight in the morning. There were no other options. There was no time to communicate with classmates, but the girl already understood that she needed to strive forward.
She developed her own social circle, atmosphere. The athlete did not feel any infringement. The school also understood that her life was at the rink. The girl first performed for the Burevestnik DSO, and then for the Spartak DSO.
She studied at different times Oleneva with Tatyana Ivanovna Loveiko, Viktor Nikolaevich Kudryavtsev. Finally, Alexei Nikolaevich Mishin became her mentor. The young athlete took the sixth place in the USSR championship in 1969.
In 1970 there was a new victory: Tatiana became the national champion among juniors. In 1971 she stopped at the 4th stage, and a year later she conquered the second.
The most successful was 1973. Oleneva became the champion of the USSR, made her debut at the European championship in Cologne. She showed the result 14-1, but took bronze at the international tournament for the prize of the Moscow News newspaper. The young athlete won two silver medals in 1974 at the winter sports day of the peoples of the USSR and the national championship.
Coaching activities
After the success, Tatyana decided to end her sports career. She decided to start coaching. In 1976, her husband became a mentor, Alexei Mishin. He could not resist the charm of a student who became a champion.
Tatyana Nikolaevna received her education at the Lesgaft Institute of Physical Education. Then work began. Mishina turned out to be a real fan of her. At first, the husband and wife had different students. There was a kind of competition, but both shared their experiences and achievements, achieving a higher level of perception.
Waiting for the first child in 1977, Tatyana Nikolaevna trained young athletes until the very last days. She was delivered to the hospital directly from the rink. The eldest child was the son Andrei. In 1983, a second son appeared, named Nikolai.
Both later also chose sports careers for themselves. However, they became not figure skaters, but tennis players. Tatyana Nikolaevna has brought up many talented students over the years. Among them are the first world champion among juniors Tatyana Andreeva, as well as Tatyana Basova, Katarina Herbolt, Andrey Gryazev, Ksenia Doronina.
Mishin's spouses work together, helping each other in everything. Competition developed within the family: the athletes of both competed. Such an atmosphere provided movement forward.
The finest hour was classes with Mishina Oleg Tataurov, and with her husband Alexei Urmanov. Both skaters became winners, which acted as an incentive to move up. Such rivalry did not become destructive for the family. However, the couple decided to end the competition and start working in tandem.
Personal life, family and work
Tatyana Nikolaevna switched to other problems, her sons were growing up. The husband began to study with her pupils. Mom helped Andrei and Nikolai, who were starting to play tennis, making them professional athletes.
Both did not win the most prestigious awards, but they achieved authority and found a vocation in coaching. Thanks to the example of my mother, her enthusiasm, they managed to find their way. Currently, Mishin's spouses are working together.
They replace each other during training. Both conduct seminars, are engaged in the development of new techniques. Tatyana Nikolaevna proved to be an excellent specialist.
Alexei Nikolaevich is in charge of the Department of Speed Skating and Figure Skating at the PF Lesgaft State Academy of Physical Culture in St. Petersburg.
In December 2014, the coaching couple founded the figure skating school SDYUSSHOR "Star Ice". Classes are held in St. Petersburg in the DC "Yubileiny". It is planned to build a separate ice complex.
