Childhood, early career and first roles
Kristanna Loken was born on October 8, 1979 in Ghent, New York, in the family of writer and screenwriter Merlin Loken and former model Randy Porat. Kristanna's grandparents on both lines (maternal and paternal) were immigrants from Norway.
She also spent her childhood in Ghent, on her parents' apple farm. When she turned fifteen, she started working in the modeling business, that is, in fact, she followed in the footsteps of her mother.
In 1994, Kristanna was first invited to appear on TV - to star in one of the episodes of the longest soap opera in history, How the World Turns. Then she got a few more cameo roles, designed for just one or a few episodes, in other multi-episode projects (such as Law & Order, Strangers in the Family, Fashion Magazine, Star Trek: Voyager and etc.).
In 1998, Kristanna was first given the role of one of the main characters in the series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. More specifically, here she played the role of Tazhi - a former thief who is fluent in martial arts. Unfortunately, this series only lasted 1 season, after which it was canceled.

The real finest hour of Kristanna Loken came in 2003, when the blockbuster "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" was released. The film actress in this film appeared in the form of the T-X robot, which combines the advantages of the T-800 and T-1000. It was the model TX, according to the plot, that was sent from the future in 2004 in order to destroy the closest associates of John Connor. Of course, this role greatly increased the popularity and recognition of the actress. In addition, on the set of this picture, Kristanna Loken had a chance to work with Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.
In 2004, Kristanna played another rather bright role that earned praise from many viewers and critics. This was the role of the warrior Brünnhilde, who possesses incredible strength and beauty, in the television movie "Ring of the Nibelungen", based on the famous ancient Germanic epic.
After that, Kristanna's acting career began to decline. In recent years, she has starred mainly in low-budget "B" films. In May 2015, the media reported that 35-year-old Kristanna was in love with 63-year-old politician and former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. This connection also ended pretty quickly.
Kristanna's next love was actor Jonathan Bates. And although they did not formalize the marriage officially, they have a common child - the boy Thor (born in the spring of 2016). According to reports, the actress is still dating Jonathan today.
