Elena Vorobei (present Elena Yakovleva Lebenbaum) is a Russian pop, film and television actress, comedian and parodist. Honored Artist of Russia (2012).
Biography
Elena Vorobei was born on June 5, 1967 in Brest, not far from the Brest Fortress (Byelorussian SSR). Elena grew up in a poor Jewish family. Father - Yakov Movshevich Lebenbaum (born in 1948) worked all his life as a mechanic in the housing office, and his mother - Nina Lvovna Lebenbaum (1947-2016) worked as an installer and seamstress (died of cancer).
As a child, little Lena was a hooligan: she loved yard games, trees, fences, garages, but despite this, the girl was an excellent student at school. The first ability to parody appeared in her during her studies at school - Lena skillfully depicted gaits and reproduced the voices of teachers.
Since childhood, Lena Sparrow dreamed of becoming an actress, or rather a clown. The parents saw the girl as a music teacher and after the eighth grade they transferred their daughter to a music school in Brest.
Having visited Leningrad for the first time, Elena fell in love with this city and decided that she would study in it. And in 1988, on the third attempt, the girl entered the Leningrad Theater Institute (LGITMiK) in the class of pop and cinema, the course of Isaac Shtokbant. The examination committee turned a blind eye to Elena's lack of voice. In 1993, the actress successfully graduated from the institute.
Career and creativity
From her student years, the aspiring actress began working at the Leningrad State Theater "BUFF", where she met Yuri Galtsev, Gennady Vetrov and Natalia Vetlitskaya. In the theater, she had the opportunity to play in dramatic performances, sing and parody.
In 1991, she performed with a clownade to the music from the Bob Foss film "Cabaret" at the Andrei Mironov Acting Song Contest, where she aroused the indignation of the jury. However, the audience very warmly received the talented actress, and Elena received the Audience Award.
In 1993, at the All-Russian competition "Yalta-Moscow-Transit", Elena was able to demonstrate her acting and vocal abilities and became the owner of the Grand Prix, received the Audience Award. But to move to the big stage, it took a lot of money. Therefore, the actress had to return to the BUFF theater again.
Elena continued to write songs, voiced numerous commercials. But one day, she accidentally met a wealthy entrepreneur who agreed to sponsor the recording of her phonograms and helped her advance on the path to fame.
In 1998 Alla Pugacheva invited Elena to shoot the program "Christmas Meetings". After some time, Elena performed a solo number at the concert "Levchik and Vovchik", and during the concert received a lucrative offer from the president of the cultural fund ARTES.
Since 2000, Elena Vorobei moved to the stage and began acting in the "Full House" program. The artist began giving recitals in front of a large audience in different cities and countries. For several years, Elena managed to travel half the world on tour.
She has repeatedly become the laureate of the All-Russian contests of pop artists: the Ostankino Hit Parade (1995), the Cup of Humor (2002), the Golden Ostap - the Cup for the best pop actress in 2006.
In 2007, the actress played in the play "Jackson of My Wife" (directed by Alexander Gorban).
In 2008 Elena took part in the competition program "Two Stars" in a duet with Boris Moiseev.
In 2009 she participated in the Dancing with the Stars program together with Kirill Nikitin.
In 2010 she played the role of Inessa in the play “They don’t joke with love” (directed by Vladimir Scheblykin).
In 2011, she was a member of the Zirka + Zirka 2 program in a duet with Kirill Andreev.
In 2012 she played in the performances: “What do men want?”, “You are my God” (Sylvia), “Italian love” (Eva).
In 2012 Elena Vorobei received the title of "Honored Artist of Russia".
In 2013 she took part in the parody show "Repeat", which was broadcast on the first channel.
In 2014, Elena became the director of the film "Doctor in the Cinema", took part in the project "Just the same". In the same year she was the host of the Saturday Evening program.
In 2015, she played the role of Nina in the play "He's in Argentina" (directed by Nina Chusova).
In 2017, she played the role of Margot in the play A Man With Home Delivery (directed by Nina Chusova).
In the same year she became the winner of the Three Chords competition program on Channel One.

Elena met her first husband, Andrey Kislyuk, at the Buff Theater, where they worked together. But after 10 years of marriage, the couple decided to separate.
The second husband of Elena Vorobei was a businessman from St. Petersburg - Igor Konstantinovich.
On March 11, 2003, Elena and Igor had a daughter, Sofia. The couple never formalized their marriage. Igor Nikolaevich himself died from an accident. And after his death, Elena did not claim the inheritance of a businessman.
Then Elena Sparrow had an affair with TV producer Kirill, but the couple broke up.
The actress lives with the sound engineer of her team, Alexander Kalischuk (for the sake of the artist, Alexander divorced his wife).
