There are many Cossack communities in Russia, each of which has a personal charter and certain orders, enshrined in traditions. The conditions for joining any of these organizations have their own characteristics. But there is a single document developed by the Council for Cossack Affairs, which stipulates general rules for those wishing to become a member of this community.
It is necessary
- - a statement to the chieftain;
- - petitions of two members of the Cossack community;
- - photocopies of documents;
- - two photos 3x4.
Instructions
Step 1
Write a statement addressed to the ataman of the Cossack society you wish to join. It is drawn up either in free form or according to a model established in a given community. In your application, ask the community chieftain to accept you as a Cossack, clearly arguing your request. State the true reasons that lead you to this act. Mention your political and civic views. Russian citizenship and reaching the age of eighteen are prerequisites for admitting you to the ranks of the Cossacks. Therefore, in your statement, focus on this point as well.
Step 2
Receive and attach to your application the petitions of two Cossacks of the community you are going to join (they are drawn up in writing). It is best if they are people who know you well and are capable of objectively characterizing your personality. You will also need copies of documents that will confirm the information you specified in the application (copy of the passport of the Russian Federation, etc.). You will also need two photographs of 3x4 centimeters in size. According to the rules of most Cossack societies, a personal file is set up for each of their members. All submitted documents will be stored in it.
Step 3
The decision to accept you into the Cossack ranks is made by the general meeting of the members of the entire group. As a rule, it takes about a month to make this decision. If the meeting approves your candidacy, you will be assigned a probationary period, after which, and in the absence of any complaints in your direction, you will receive a Cossack certificate. It should be handed over by the military chieftain in a solemn atmosphere. During the trial period, you will need to study the charter and traditions of the society, upon its completion - acquire the appropriate form of the established sample and start life with a new status. Remember the Cossack charter and do not violate it after you become a full member of the community.
