Biography
On September 25, 1958, the future artist Anatoly Vladimirovich Kotenev was born in the Abkhaz SSR. A year later, the family left Abkhazia and moved to Stavropol, to the city of Nevinnomyssk. The actor's childhood was spent there. Anatoly did not have any prerequisites for acting, he grew up in an ordinary working-class family. Mom worked in a kindergarten as a teacher, and dad worked as a simple machinist at the enterprise.
At school, the boy was very fond of modeling and attended various circles. Anatoly dreamed of a real male profession - he wanted to become a sailor. But in the seventh grade, he attended one of the rehearsals of school amateur performances and was simply fascinated by the game on stage. Despite a great desire to connect his life with acting, Anatoly, at the insistence of his father, entered the school to get a serious profession. Kotenev learned to be a turner and even worked for some time at a factory.
After some time, he nevertheless decided to continue the path of the actor and went to the city of Sverdlovsk. There he easily entered the theater school, but a year later he was drafted into the army. After the "demobilization" the actor did not return to Sverdlovsk, he decided to conquer the capital and went to Moscow.
