Biography
Anatoly Vladimirovich was born in Sukhumi in 1958. Soon the Kotenev family moved to the city of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory, where the future actor spent his childhood. From childhood, Tolya dreamed of courageous professions: at first he certainly wanted to become a sailor and conquer the water element, then he dreamed of becoming a pilot.
As a teenager, his interests changed dramatically, and he began to attend classes at the theater studio at the local Palace of Culture. Very soon, small roles began to be entrusted to Anatoly, and this was real happiness.
However, after school, the parents insisted that the man should have a male profession, and Kotenev received the education of a turner-borer and worked at a factory for some time. However, the thought of the stage did not leave, and soon he was already a student at the Sverdlovsk Theater School. Then there was the army, where he was taken immediately after the first year. And then Anatoly decided that he needed to learn from real professionals and went to Moscow, where he entered the Moscow Art Theater School.
Actor's career
After graduating from college, Kotenev wanted to stay in Moscow, but he did not have a residence permit. Without hesitation, he went to get a job at the Theater-Studio of a film actor in the city of Minsk. Here he began acting in films.
Although he first appeared on screens during his student years, it was the film "The Unknown Soldier" (1984). And in 1985 Kotenev starred in two films at once: "Snipers" and "Sailor Zheleznyak", where he played the main role. The film was very warmly received by the audience, and the actor who played Anatoly Zheleznyak began to be recognized in other films.
However, Kotenev became a real celebrity after the release of the adventure film "The Secret Fairway", where he played a naval sailor. A truly gripping plot, the mystery of the invisible submarine and the desire to find it - all this is very exciting and makes the audience with tension to follow the development of the plot.
After this film, Kotenev was assigned the role of a courageous hero, and he played quite a few similar roles. However, he managed to step over this framework, and later he played other roles: poet, priest, football player, oligarch.
Now Kotenev lives in several cities: his house and family are in Minsk, and his work is where the next film is being filmed.
Personal life
Anatoly Kotenev is a happy husband and father. His wife Svetlana Borovskaya works on Belarusian television, she is a media personality. The couple have two sons: Klim and Vladimir.
