Registration of marriage is a solemn exciting event, so it is better to be prepared for what and in what order will happen in the registry office. Do not worry that you will forget something - the manager will tell you and show you how to do each step correctly on the way to getting married.
Arrival at the registry office
The first thing that you will see in the registry office is, oddly enough, the queue. In the lobby you will meet several other couples and their guests, so it is better not to arrive too early, but to arrive at the registry office 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. You will be asked to hang your outerwear in the wardrobe, and 5-10 minutes before the start of registration, the manager will invite the newlyweds to a separate room, where you will have to give your passports and wedding rings. Then, depending on the registry office, the bride and groom go to a separate waiting room or return to the guests in the hall. As a rule, all rooms have seating areas and large mirrors for the bride to fix her hair and makeup.
In the registration hall
When you are invited to the registration hall, the guests will have to line up in such a way that the newlyweds come first, followed by witnesses, then parents and relatives, and after that friends and acquaintances. The entrance to the hall is usually carried out to the sound of Mendelssohn's march. Usually at the time of application you will be asked to choose whether the march will be played from the turntable's speakers or performed by live musicians. The bride is usually on the left side of the groom, who leads her by the arm. The witness should stand a little further from the young, from the side of the bride, and the witness - next to him, but from the side of the groom. You will be asked to stop a few meters from the steward's desk, after which the steward will give an introductory speech and ask if you are voluntarily getting married. After you give your consent, you will be invited to a table, which usually stands to the right of the steward, to sign the marriage certificate. The bride is given the right to sign first, after which the groom will sit at the table. As soon as the document is signed by the newlyweds, they go to their places, and witnesses are invited to the table in order to put their signatures. When the signatures have been delivered, you will be served with wedding rings. First, the groom will put the ring on the bride's finger, then the bride will put the ring on the groom's finger. After the rings are put on, the manager's long-awaited phrase will sound that he declares you husband and wife and invites the groom to kiss the bride.
Congratulatory part
The next step is to congratulate your guests. First, parents are invited to congratulate the newlyweds, then relatives, and then the rest of the guests. You will be surrounded by guests who will give bouquets and say congratulatory words. As a rule, witnesses take the flowers so that the bride does not get dirty and her appearance does not deteriorate. Next, you will be invited to the next room for a small buffet table. Treats typically include champagne, fruit, and chocolates. The buffet will last 5-10 minutes, after which you can leave the registry office and go to celebrate your wedding.
