The future vocalist was born on April 21, 1969 in a family of native Muscovites. She already had an older sister. My father worked at the Compressor plant. The mother, a physician, therapist, conducted an appointment at the district clinic. There was always music in the house in the evenings and on weekends. The hostess loved songs and had a pleasant voice herself. Katya got a voice from her mother. At school, the girl studied well, but without enthusiasm. Boldysheva was eagerly engaged in amateur performances. She has performed at numerous competitions and shows.
On the professional stage
After school, Catherine decided to get an education at the conductor-choral department of the music school. Already in his student years, Boldysheva and his girlfriend Svetlana Vladimirskaya often performed pop hits, accompanying themselves on the piano. The whole course was going to listen to their improvisations. At one fine moment they came up with the idea to create a vocal and instrumental group. After a while, the pop group "Cleopatra" began their performances. No matter how hard the girls tried, the team fell apart. Then came the hour when Catherine was invited to the famous VIA "Mirage".
The singer's creative career developed along an ascending trajectory. For almost ten years, Boldysheva was the only vocalist of the group. At the end of the 90s, public interest in the songs of "Mirage" began to decline. Frictions and squabbles began in the team. Then Ekaterina Boldysheva and guitarist Alexei Gorbashov began performing as a duet. They toured the country very successfully and made good money. The performances were accompanied by legal proceedings for the authorship of certain compositions. The court found that Andrey Gorbashov was the author of many songs.
Revival and personal life
In 2016, Alexey and Ekaterina made sure that the Mirage brand belonged only to them. From this moment, the countdown of the new life of the illustrious, but slightly forgotten collective begins. Gorbashov and Boldysheva are recording clips and albums. They are active in concert.
The singer's personal life has developed well. After several years of joint creativity, the musician and singer started a family. The husband and wife have lived together for almost 30 years. They have no children.
