Often, the consumer has to deal with poor-quality communication services or even outright dishonesty of the postal staff for the delivery and delivery of postal items. Therefore, it is useful to know how to correctly receive in the mail, say, a parcel sent to your address upon notification.

Instructions

Step 1

After receiving the postal notification, visit the post office indicated in it. If for some reason you do not do this within the next five working days, the postal operator is obliged to send you a secondary notice (against a receipt for delivery). Keep in mind, if you put your signature, then you will have to pay for each subsequent day of storage of the parcel. If, in violation of the law, a secondary notice was simply dropped into your mailbox, you are not entitled to take money for storage from you.

Step 2

When you appear with a notice in the mail, fill out its reverse side. Indicate the series and number of the passport, by whom and when the document was issued, the place of registration, affix the current date and signature. Keep in mind that you have the right to affix the date and signature only after you receive the postal item, although in practice the postal workers insist that you must first put the date and signature, and only then pick up the parcel post.

Step 3

Ask the postal worker to show you the parcel to inspect its appearance, the integrity of the package and, if necessary, check the weight. By such actions, you may cause the displeasure of postal workers and citizens waiting for their turn, but protect yourself from receiving a damaged parcel.

Step 4

If the postal item is intact, its weight after weighing coincides with the indicated one, then take the parcel in your hands and only now put your signature on the notice and today's date.

Step 5

If the postal item was sent with an inventory of the attachment, ask the postal worker to open it in your presence and check the contents against the inventory. As a rule, postal employees do this without a reminder, since, according to existing rules, parcels are issued to addressees after the attachment has been verified against the records in the inventory.

Step 6

If, when opening the parcel, a shortage or damage to the attachment is found, demand that an act be drawn up about this, which you must sign. Such an act will serve as the basis for paying you damages and conducting a departmental audit.
