Novosibirsk is a large Russian metropolis. However, the war made its own adjustments to this plan, and the theater was opened after the victory - on May 12, 1945.
Today the theater is not only a grandiose structure, the area of which is more than 40 thousand square meters. The Opera and Ballet Theater is also one of the most significant theatrical institutions not only in Siberia, but throughout Russia. His team has repeatedly become a laureate of the most prestigious Russian and international awards, such as the "Golden Mask". Over the years of its existence, more than 340 performances have been shown to the audience on the stage of the theater.
Today, in the troupe of the theater, 32 artists have various honorary titles, among which are the titles of People's Artists of the Russian Federation and the USSR, Honored Workers of Arts and Culture. 76 employees are awarded at various competitions.
