Childhood and youth
Hakobyan Ruben was born on September 18, 1972 in Armenia. His father was the chief engineer of one of the largest machine-building plants in the Soviet Union, his mother was the head of the library at the research institute. An ordinary intelligent family.

Arriving in the capital, with eighty dollars in his pocket, where there was not a single relative, he wandered at the Kursk railway station, ate exclusively fried cabbage, because he could not afford anything else. For entertainment, I visited New Arbat, where, while walking, I met my fellow musicians, with whom they had played in a rock group back in Yerevan. The six of them rented an apartment in Kuntsevo near Moscow. So the railway field was changed to a commune with fellow countrymen.

During the day, the guy stayed at the wholesale market, and in the evenings the Armenians gathered together in the kitchen, turned on an old radio tape recorder and hunted stories with anecdotes. Once, without pretending to anything, Hakobyan mimicked the DJ, which turned out to be very funny. Then friends advised the young man to try to work on the radio. One of my friends, vocalist Tigran, had a friend related to radio broadcasting. She agreed to listen to the joker. The future showman recorded a funny story on audio tape, and in his resume, in addition to studying at the institute, described his stormy life. It turned out to be absurd, but quite hilarious. It was in the early nineties, when no one had e-mail or computers, so the results of the fruits could only be delivered in person. Without even thinking that someone would listen to this nonsense and read it at least to the middle, he drove to the place and left an envelope with a cassette and a piece of paper at the checkpoint. To his surprise, he was immediately invited to try his hand. It was 94th year.
Open radio
Igor Talkov was extremely popular on the air. In 1998, the channel's format was reversed - more music, less information broadcasting, in connection with which the name also changed with the prefix of the word "Romance" with an emphasis on slow and melodic compositions. In April 1999, it was already a three-hour musical program, with the name returned to its original name. Closed in August 2004.

She broadcast from 1996 to 1999. Hakobyan was a worker here as well. For the first two hours, melodies were typed according to the playlist, and then they got there during the program. He had to work at night, it was not easy. It got to the point that the "night light" recorded its broadcasts on a mini-disc, and after a couple of days at four or five in the morning put it on to rest. It was a violation, but many presenters did such tricks.
