Step 1
Start building your tree by looking at all the documents and photos in your home. Of particular genealogical value are certificates of death, marriage and birth, various certificates, military cards. And also diplomas, certificates and diplomas can be useful. Make copies of all important documents and divide them into two folders.

Put all the documents about maternal relatives in one folder, and in another - on the paternal side. But it is best to have a separate signed envelope for each person.

Step 5
As soon as all the information is collected and systematized, proceed with the design of the family tree. It can be arranged in the form of a descending or ascending relationship. In the ascending trunk of the tree there is a person from whom it is built, that is, you, and grandmothers, grandfathers and more distant relatives are located on the branches. In the descending trunk is the ancestor, and in the crown are the descendants.

The left side of the tree can be for maternal relatives, and the right for the paternal. Form information about men and women in the form of various geometric shapes, and also separate by color. In addition, you can attach photos and brief information about each relative.
