Many of our compatriots maintain constant business, friendly and family relations with the people of Germany. For these connections to be stronger, the exchange of short SMS messages or e-mails, as well as letters by fax is not enough. Sometimes you want to send or receive a real letter.
Instructions
Step 1
Form a specific template for yourself, according to which you will compose your letters. Of course, for writing any letters, certain standards have existed for a long time, but blind adherence to them will not always be appropriate, if only because there are no standards for each specific person.
Step 2
Depending on whether the letter refers to official, business correspondence or personal messages, adhere to certain stylistic rules when composing the letter. So if you are writing a letter of inquiry to a government agency, it, of course, should not begin with the words: "Lieber Herr …", although in a letter to a business partner, such an appeal would be quite appropriate.
Step 3
If you write in German, try to make as few spelling and grammatical errors as possible. If you do not know exactly how a particular word is spelled, refer to the dictionaries. But if you do not speak written German, ask your secretary to compose a letter or pay for the services of an interpreter.
Step 4
Do not try to show off your knowledge of the language and do not indulge in lengthy reflections. Remember that writing (and then reading by the addressee) a letter longer than one page is not encouraged unless absolutely necessary.
Step 5
Start with the so-called "header", which should include your name and your address. Next, indicate the details of the recipient: the address of the organization (the name of its head) or the name of a private person. Please note: if you are writing a letter to an organization, the leader's name will be written only after its name. Indicate the date and place of departure.
Step 6
Formulate the subject and place it as the heading of the letter. This is followed by an appeal to the addressee. If the appeal ends with a comma (it is not recommended to use an exclamation mark in modern correspondence), the text of the letter should begin on a new line with a lowercase letter.
Step 7
After you write everything that you think is necessary, be sure to wish all the best to the addressee and sign.
Step 8
The envelope for sending a letter should be inscribed in Latin letters. However, your return address must also be indicated in Russian.
