Evgeny Konovalov is an active and energetic politician. Having started his career as a leader of a youth movement, Yevgeny Vasilyevich found support for his views in the opposition to the current government. Now he participates in the work of the Yabloko party. And he manages to engage in other promising projects that have not only business, but also social orientation.
From the biography of E. Konovalov
The future politician, political scientist and economist was born in Simferopol on October 19, 1981. Until 1996, the family lived in Estonia. Then his father, a captain of the first rank, a submariner, was transferred to St. Petersburg. Konovalov's mom is an accountant by profession.
In his youth, Eugene joined creativity, he was fond of versification, was in a literary society and even published in poetry collections.
Economics became another hobby of Konovalov. In 2004, Evgeny Vasilyevich received a diploma from the St. Petersburg FinEk, where he studied at the department of politics and economic theory. Immediately after graduating from this university, he became his graduate student.
Opposition politician's career
Even as a student, E. Konovalov joined the ranks of the Social Democratic Union of the country's youth. And even was a member of the governing bodies of this association, led the St. Petersburg branch of the Union. In 2006, the last congress of the SDPR was held. Before this event, Konovalov made caustic and harsh criticism of the leader of the association, V. Kishenin. Evgeny accused the functionary of having arranged something like a joint-stock company out of the political union and adapted this structure to achieve his personal ambitious goals.
In subsequent years, Konovalov participated in the formation of a number of youth associations. He spoke out against xenophobia and racism. Together with his associates, he organized the so-called "March of Dissent" in the northern capital in 2007.
Since 2010, Yevgeny Vasilyevich has repeatedly spoken out against the policy of President Putin, signed an appeal from the opposition, dubbed "Putin must leave." Among the like-minded people of Konovalov, the media call A. Navalny, V. Ryzhkov, Y. Shevchuk.
Opposition activities of the politician came to the attention of the authorities: in 2011 Konovalov was actively pressured by law enforcement agencies. However, Konovalov does not seem to be afraid of such attention to his person from the state.
In 2013, Evgeny became a member of the board of the St. Petersburg branch of the Yabloko party.
Other projects of E. Konovalov
Since the fall of 2016, Konovalov has been actively involved in the creation of a network of so-called checkpoints in the country. We are talking about points of automatic issuance of purchases made on the Internet. Checkpoints are installed in the entrances of apartment buildings. In this way, food is also delivered to residents.
The project uses a concept, which is unique by the standards of world practice, for the arrangement of checkpoints in houses, which was noted even by foreign experts.
One of the urgent tasks of this ambitious business project was to attract investments, which is what Evgeny Vasilyevich is actively engaged in. It is planned to expand the network of automatic points, spreading the idea throughout the country.
