“If only you knew from what rubbish poetry grows without knowing shame…” Anna Akhmatova once wrote. A similar statement is true not only for poetry, but also for theatrical art. Of course, “litter” should be understood as those components that are necessary for each specific performance at the time of its creation and presentation: on a rug in the courtyard, on a platform, on a stage in a theater building or on a square.

Instructions

Step 1

At the heart of any performance is an idea, which is most often framed in a written text. It can be anything. The classic literary text for a play is a play written by a playwright. But, besides this, it can be any literary work or documentary evidence of which one person - a screenwriter - or a creative group creates dramatizations: adaptations for the stage.

Step 2

Music, painting, choreography, elements of architecture, circus and cinema - all these types of art, or, in other words, means of expression used in performances, woven into its canvas and combined together, also become stage text.

Step 3

So, theatrical art is an aggregate, unity, a synthesis of the most diverse elements drawn from other areas of artistic creativity. But the main means of expression in the theater is, of course, the actor: an actor of drama, opera, ballet or puppet theater.

Step 4

A similar unity occurred from the very inception of theatrical art, the origins of which originate from folk festivals, both pagan and in honor of the many gods who inhabited the lands of the Sumerians and Babylonians, ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Romans.

Step 5

Not a single festival could do without dancing, music performed on flutes and other ancient instruments, singing and versification. Their connection happened naturally and spontaneously, since only through vivid expressiveness it was possible to reach the ancient gods who ruled the minds of people who lived long before our era. The birth of the art of theater of the kind into which it, evolving, gradually reached our days, is considered to be 534 BC.

Step 6

Modern theater is diverse and varied. He is free to use means of expression that may be necessary for each particular production. Contemporary theatrical art can be both very sophisticated technically equipped and fundamentally simple - ascetic. It all depends on the will of one person - the director. It is he who, guided by the ideas of the production and his own vision, determines the need to attract certain expressive means.

Step 7

The use of 3D projections, television and film episodes, vocal fragments of various genres in dramatic performances and dramatic performances in opera or ballet performances, a variety of complex lighting and musical equipment, which can become not just a technical accompaniment, but also a part of the performance - from everything this can be a modern performance created by the director's idea, fantasy and will.

Step 8

However, the modern stage action may be different: the viewer will only have an artist who uses a minimum of expressive means in the artistic solution - his voice, plasticity, possibly text and (or) music.
